Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri closed in on more milestones with his performance against the Titans in Week 11 and the league has recognized his accomplishments by making him the AFC special teams player of the week for the fourth time in his career.

Vinatieri kicked three field goals and three extra points as the Colts rallied back from early troubles to beat Tennessee 30-27 last Thursday night. Those three extra point attempts moved Vinatieri past Lou Groza on the list for most conversion attempts in NFL history and the 12 total points also nudged Vinatieri up another leaderboard.

With 791 points during his time with the Colts, Vinatieri is now nine points away from becoming the second player in league history with 800 or more points with two different teams. Barring injury, it will be just a matter of time before Vinatieri, who has the second-most points in Colts history, joins Morten Andersen on that list.
