It took two weeks longer than anticipated but defensive tackle Christo Bilukidi is a member of the Cincinnati Bengals.
The Bengals attempted to sign Bilukidi on Nov. 4, but the contract was nullified by the league because Bilukidi, who is Canadian, didn’t have the proper work permit to be employed in the United States.
Cincinnati had to look elsewhere and signed Kheeston Randall to fill their open roster spot.
Now that Bilukidi apparently has the proper credentials in place, the Bengals signed him to a deal on Wednesday and released Randall.
Bilukidi was a sixth round draft pick of the Oakland Raiders last year and appeared in 13 games before being released on Oct. 23. He has 13 tackles and a pass defense in his two seasons in the league.
