As you might imagine, at the time he was being headbutted by a helmeted headbutter while helmetless, Delanie Walker was not too happy about it.

But given a few days to step away from the emotion, the Titans tight end said he was sorry to see Colts outside linebacker Erik Walden suspended for the move. Walden’s suspension will cost him more than $176,000.

“During the game I was mad, but I don’t ever like to see anyone get their money taken away or miss a game,” Walker said, via Jim Wyatt of the Tennesseean. “But the league made their decision, so that’s what it is.”

At the same time, he still thought Walden should have been ejected, and clearly he should have been.

“Of course I’m looking forward to seeing him again — I never want to shy away from a good battle. He’s a good athlete, and he plays hard,” Walker said. “He’ll bring out the competitive side in me, so I can’t wait to see him again. You won’t see me do dirty stuff back, though. I play within the rules of the game.”

Walker will get a chance to tell Walker that in person on Dec. 1, when the Titans visit the Colts. And if he’s smart, his chin-strap will be tight when he says it.
