Keim sees Fitzgerald as Cardinal for life

Weeks before the future of Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger became a hot topic in NFL news, the man drafted eight spots before Roethlisberger found himself at the center of trade speculation.

Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald wasn’t dealt before the trade deadline, and Cardinals G.M. Steve Keim told PFT Live on Wednesday that the Cardinals have no plans to ever see Fitzgerald play for anyone but the Cardinals.

It wasn’t the wink-nod “no intent” routine, like the one the Vikings unfurled regarding receiver Percy Harvin.  Keim, who has had 15 years of stability with one of the league’s less stable franchises, was genuine and sincere in his proclamation that the Cardinals want to have Fitzgerald around.

Keim seemed to be genuine and sincere as to everything else he said during the interview, too, except for the part where he claimed that the hair ripped from running back Andre Ellington’s head will be used to craft wigs for Keim and coach Bruce Arians, who share a hairstyle.

Of course, Fitzgerald is loyal like Calvin Johnson is!

He will be considered a “Cardinal”, even if he gets traded to another team for the later part of his career…….Big Ben will be Steeler and so it goes……

Jerry Rice, for example, played for the Seahawks…..but we all know he is a 49r for life.

A Cardinal for Life… Larry, I am so sorry.

Thank god they finally 86’ed Rod Graves and his puzzling GM decisions. Keim made good, low-risk signings this year. Even Carson, who has certainly thrown some ducks this year, has been playing well enough for them to win some close games. Bring on the Colts!

If I was a contender and could get three solid seasons out of him, I’d give the Cards a second rounder for him. That hamstring is starting worry me tho.

Hopefully the O-line can keep improving so Carson can stay up right and throwing to this beast of a man! Send the Colts to the glue factory Sunday!!

For all you fans who are giving Fitz condolences for being with the Cardinals, consider that Fitz has Twice extended his contract with the team and has never been franchise tagged. He’s in AZ because he wants to be.

So if the media is to be believed, Fitz, Big Ben, Adrian Peterson, and Andre Johnson will all be playing on different teams next season.

    Manufacturing stories much?
