Dolphins center Mike Pouncey was back with his teammates Wednesday, after being hospitalized with a reported gallbladder problem.
According to Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald, Pouncey was “noticeably lighter,” and left practice with the strength coach after the stretching portion which was open to reporters.
That doesn’t sound like a guy who’s a sure thing to play this week against the Panthers, but the fact he’s back at work while doctors try to treat his condition with medication to avoid surgery is probably a good sign.
Pouncey even tweeted out a picture of a get-well card and a can of soup his line-mates left in his locker.
That’s the kind of togetherness he’ll certainly want to share with Ted Wells, while the league’s investigator into the team’s bullying scandal is in South Florida.
