The St. Louis Rams lost starting quarterback Sam Bradford for the rest of the season on Oct. 20 due to a torn ACL suffered against the Carolina Panthers.
It took nearly a month but Bradford finally had surgery to repair his injured knee on Tuesday.
According to Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com, Dr. James Andrews performed the reconstructive surgery on Bradford’s knee in Pensacola, Fla. The surgery was delayed for a few weeks in order to let swelling in the knee subside before the operation.
Rams trainer Reggie Scott was in attendance for the operation as well.
"[Scott] said everything went very, very well,” head coach Jeff Fisher said. “It’s a very, very healthy knee considering the circumstances and so they were pleased.”
Bradford was had thrown for 1,687 yards with 14 touchdowns and four interceptions in seven games before the injury ended his season.
