Darren Sproles inactive for Saints

Saints Broncos Football AP

The Saints will be without running back Darren Sproles when they face the Falcons tonight.

Sproles, who was listed as questionable with a knee injury, is inactive. This is the first game of the season Sproles has missed, and he’s a tough player to replace: Sproles is third on the Saints in rushing, third in both receptions and receiving yards, and the Saints’ top punt returner and kickoff returner.

Also inactive for the Saints is guard Jahri Evans, who was questionable with an ankle injury.

The Falcons’ inactives are RB Josh Vaughan, DB Kemal Ishmael, LB Omar Gaither, G Harland Gunn, OT Sean Locklear, WR Brian Robiskie and DE Malliciah Goodman.

HUGE asset for the Saints no doubt, but I don’t think they have reason for concern against the lowly Falcons. Should still come out with an easy ‘w’…

Saints will be fine since ,if u tackle Brees, he will whine and the refs will call a penalty on the Falcons

He’s been an overall disappointment for me this year. I’m wanting to drop him for Keenum, but I just don’t dare. Hope he heals fast.

Better to let them rest this game. The saints should handle this team with no problems. If this was a big game, I think that both of them would play. No use risking further injuries against a team that should get blown out.

Instead of Saint winning 52-10 it’ll be 45-10.

Got together rid of Michael Irvin on NFK Network pre game show. The man can not talk. Just screaming. Enough already.

Did you see Brees whine to the refs? No! Why? Because he didn’t do anything like that. He got up, went to the huddle and played the game. He commented AFTER the game. Flag was thrown; the proper call. I don’t like the rule either, but it was the right call.

Brees is a baller. I hope those of you who can’t seem or don’t want to move on, keep in mind that SF has two more opportunities to win, but went 3 downs and out. The ref didn’t influence those plays.

What about the interception Brees threw directly to the LB and the muffed kicked that Moore had? The Saints defense was outstanding and the 49ers offense sucked.

The 49ers were lucky to be in the game at all. I count those 2 TD’s they made on the offense and the special team, but noone was whining, except Falcons & 40Whiners……move on already!

People are still whining about the clothesline on Brees?

    Woooooooooooooow! Send in the waaaaaahhhbulances!!!

49ers were lucky. Atl was lucky. However, Saints will have a major test over 4 games against the NFL’s best defenses. I expect a split with Carolina and an emotional win against the Seachickens.
