Everybody practices for the Lions

The Lions are looking pretty healthy ahead of Sunday’s date with the Buccaneers.

Tim Twentyman of the team’s website reports that wide receiver Calvin Johnson, safety Louis Delmas, running back Joique Bell, safety Glover Quin and cornerback Jonte Green all participated in practice on Thursday after missing Wednesday’s session, which means that every member of the Lions roster was on the field for practice.

Quin was wearing a walking boot to protect his injured ankle on Wednesday, but his return to unhindered mobility is a sign he’ll be in the starting lineup come Sunday. Bell should move back to the No. 2 role now that neither his foot nor mud is a concern while Johnson and Delmas were just getting their weekly day of rest on Wednesday.

Many of those players are likely to be listed as limited participants, but the fact that they’re practicing is a pretty good sign that they’ll be on the field come kickoff. Twentyman reported that defensive end Israel Idonije appeared to be the most limited of all the players as he sat out positional drills.

That’s ok Devin Taylor can fill in for Idonije some more. He has just started to get his feet wet and already has made a couple plays and he has come really close to making another TO that just hasn’t gone his way yet.

Except Burleson…. who is picking up and eating pizza while texting in traffic.

That’s a pretty good sign this late in the season that the curse is really over

Oh the conflicts in my life. I have well over a grand worth of prize money to win between 4 leagues and Calvin is in all of them (he has me in 1st or 2nd in all those leagues) but being a Packer fan holding out my last hope of making the playoffs it would be great if he didn’t play. Also I just love watching Calvin play football. Never seen this guy complain or act bigger than his teammates. If I was attending a game he is one you want to see play even if he does put up big numbers vs your team. Sort of like another Lion in Barry Sanders.

Lions/Bucs used to be a regular NFC Central matchup, and Lions fans learned never to take the Bucs for granted!

@ doctorrustbelt: Burleson has a mountain of free pizza waiting for him at home!

The Lions are the healthiest team in the NFC North which is really why the only reason they are ahead of the Packers and Bears in the standings.

    LOL!!!

Ivan… I gotta give it to burleson…. he screwed up (crashing while talking and/or texting and eating pizza) and he doesn’t even get cited… and… he got free pizza out of it!!!

Every player healthy, tied with the beaten up Bears, and the hobbled pack a game back.

Lions should be running away with this division. But they’re not.

They have not all been healthy all year. Just this one practice. Burelson has been out most of the year so far. Bentley & Ansah has missed the last two games. Calvin missed the packers game, Bush missed a game and half. Delmas is playing on one leg, Hilliard has been out Fox has been out, Broyles is on IR, with Owens and Jones. Houston was hurt ect…ect… ect… We have not had it all that easy all year

Did everybody participate in their Unsportsmanlike Conduct, Roughing the Passer, Taunting, and Holding drills too? Or do they not practice the things they’ve perfected?
