Kubiak may be upstairs again this week

As the Texans try to avoid getting in position for the first overall pick in the draft (which may not be such a bad thing), coach Gary Kubiak could remain in an unconventional position when he shows up for Sunday’s game against the Jaguars.

Kubiak told reporters Thursday that he may be coaching from the press box, for the second straight game.

“We talked about it last night,” Kubiak said.  “We’ll probably talk about it again tomorrow.  Let me see.  I’m in a battle.”

He said an answer as to whether he’ll be back on the sidelines will come on Friday.

“I’d love to, but we’ll see,” Kubiak said.  “I’ll let you guys know tomorrow.”

The Texans have lost eight straight games, for the first time in franchise history.  A loss to the 1-9 Jaguars will put the Texans in a tie for last place in the AFC South.  Two weeks from tonight comes the rematch, in what could be the worst prime-time, nationally-televised game in the history of professional sports.

Kubiak should come to the field after half time to give the team a shot in the arm in the second half.

If I’m the Texans I’m thinking about getting first choice of all available Head Coaches for the future. Does the Texans owner stand by Kubiak like Jerry does for his? Jerry Jones. In case you didn’t know who I meant. Jer’ and I kind of have an informal relationship.

When asked about their coach, the players crossed themselves and pointed upwards.

    Stay in the booth Gary.

They ought to keep him away from the team, and take any communication devices away from him so he cannot yank the QB! What a yutz!

Kubiaks gone, but let’s let him leave gracefully. Same thing with Schaub. Step up to the plate bandwagon vatos. No true Texans fan burns a jersey or boos at home forcing the team to run a silent count. Get a clue.

If I was Kubiak I’d try to get as far away from the Texans as I could too.
