Leonard Hankerson out 7-9 months after knee surgery

On Wednesday, the Redskins announced that wide receiver Leonard Hankerson would miss the rest of the season because he needed LCL surgery.

Hankerson had that operation on Thursday, but it turned out to be a bigger operation than expected. Hankerson wound up needing to have his ACL repaired as well, something coach Mike Shanahan said doctors confirmed was necessary while doing the operation.

Hankerson’s recovery time is pegged as somewhere between seven and nine months. There’s a lot of twists and turns that can happen on the road back from knee surgery, but it’s probably safe to assume that Hankerson’s going to be on an extremely limited schedule during the team’s offseason program in 2014.

Josh Morgan will take over Hankerson’s spot in the starting lineup and the team promoted Lance Lewis from their practice squad to take his spot on the roster. Lewis spent camp with the team the last two years and was signed to the practice squad in September.

As a Vikings fan I applaud you for your line!!! You Redskins fans don’t need some idiot posting something stupid on your articles the way logical voices in his head does on everyone else’s team’s articles.

So good for you… Now if you can do something about the logical voices in his head guy… Cause he’s a nutjob in the worst way.
