Chiefs wide receiver Kyle Williams says he’s suffered a torn ACL

Chiefs wide receiver Kyle Williams has suffered a torn ACL, it was announced on his verified Twitter account on Friday morning.

“Saddened to say the I will be missing the remainder of the season due to another tear of my ACL…,” Williams wrote.

The Chiefs claimed the 25-year-old Williams on waivers on Nov. 13. He played four special-teams snaps in Sunday’s loss at Denver.

Williams was not listed on the injury report as of Thursday.

Williams’ announcement of another knee injury comes a little less than a year after he tore his left ACL as a member of the 49ers.

A fourth-year pro from Arizona State, Williams has caught 47 passes for 574 yards and four TDs in regular-season play since entering the NFL with San Francisco in 2010.

ctiggs, bitterness won’t help your karma.

Kyle Williams fumbles hurt the 49ers in that championship game, but the 49ers defense could have prevented the Giants from turning those fumbles into points. That 49ers defense was one of the best in recent history and they couldn’t stop that Giants team when it counted most.

    @ GO Hawks

Both fumbles were within field goal range, the fumble on Ahmad Bradshaw was reversed on a blown call. Kyle Williams cost the Niners a trip to the Super Bowl.

Hawks have yet to win anything, so you dont understand the joy of winning a superbowl.

Feel for Kyle, 2 years in a row. He’s a stand up guy, hopefully KC will give him a shot next season. Im 99% sure he’s a UFA at years end though so he will be facing big time adversity to catch on with a team for next season.

Sorry but forward progress was long stopped before Bradshaw lost the ball. The call was right and confirmed in the replay.

im glad hes not a niner anymore but im not going to cheer on an injury. hopefully he can come back from this. and as to the guy up there saying the niners d should have stepped up. …if it werent for the 2 fumbles the giants wouldnt have even scored 10 pts that game.
