Chiefs wide receiver Kyle Williams has suffered a torn ACL, it was announced on his verified Twitter account on Friday morning.

“Saddened to say the I will be missing the remainder of the season due to another tear of my ACL...,” Williams wrote.

The Chiefs claimed the 25-year-old Williams on waivers on Nov. 13. He played four special-teams snaps in Sunday’s loss at Denver.

Williams was not listed on the injury report as of Thursday.

Williams’ announcement of another knee injury comes a little less than a year after he tore his left ACL as a member of the 49ers.

A fourth-year pro from Arizona State, Williams has caught 47 passes for 574 yards and four TDs in regular-season play since entering the NFL with San Francisco in 2010.
