Chiefs will be without DeVito, Fisher doubtful

The Chiefs lost their perfect record last weekend, and they might have lost a few linemen they’ll need as well.

Based on the official injury report, defensive end Mike DeVito won’t play this week against the Chargers because of the knee injury suffered last week, and right tackle Eric Fisher is doubtful with a shoulder injury.

Fisher hasn’t practiced this week because of the persistent shoulder problem. If he can’t go, the first overall pick in the draft would be replaced by veteran Donald Stephenson.

Questionable for the Chiefs are defensive end Tyson Jackson (abdomen) and guard Jon Asamoah (shoulder).  Five Chiefs are probable, including linebacker Derrick Johnson (wrist) and tight end Anthony Fasano (knee/ankle).

While the Chargers don’t offer the same degree of talent up front, the Chiefs need to return to their physical style to keep pace with the Broncos after last week’s loss.

Won’t matter if they have pop warner kids up front on either line. They’re playing the Chargers this week. Chiefs should get an easy W.

Loss #2 to be served up this Sunday!

Look for another efficient, grind-it-out type win from the chiefs.

Phyllis always finds a way to lose at Arrowhead.

Chiefs need a dominant performance, to get geared up for Denver. Take care of the Chargers by putting up 30+ and keeping them under 17. Then the Denver game will be the most fun of the year. Arrowhead, for 1st place with only 4 games left. Surely it gets moved to Sunday night?

Doubt they’ll shift it to Sunday night just because they’ve got NY and DC , two of the largest tv markets already in that slot. Love to see it at arrowhead in prime time, though. Might hit 140 decibels.

Fisher is the Darren McFadden of offensive tackles.

Game cannot be moved to Sunday Night due to Denver playing 6 prime games this season. KC market is not big enough to support

Umm, you have been watching the Chiefs’ offense this year, right? Especially the last few games? Right now, I’d be happy just to see them show some signs (hell, ANY signs) of life. The O-line has been barely adequate (I might be being generous here) and the WRs have been absolutely putrid….
