Chiefs missing three starters against Chargers

If the Chiefs are going to get back on track against the Chargers, they’re going to have to do it without three starting linemen.

In addition to starting defensive end Mike DeVito, the Chiefs also deactivated right tackle Eric Fisher and right guard Jon Asamoah.

Donald Stephenson will replace the first pick in the draft at right tackle, while Geoff Schwartz will fill in at right guard. Allen Bailey will replace DeVito, who left last week’s game with a knee injury. Fisher’s been bothered by shoulder problems.

The Chiefs need to run the ball better than they did last week, during their first loss of the year to the Broncos. At least on the offensive side, they have experienced replacements, who should be able to hold the fort.
