Suddenly hot Jaguars up 7-0 against inoffensive Texans

Gus Bradley, Jason Babin AP

In the race to the bottom of the AFC South, the Texans are winning.

The Jaguars lead 7-0 after a quarter against their division rivals, in a game as sloppy as you might expect.

The Jaguars scored on their opening drive for the third straight week, with Maurice Jones-Drew doing the honors after Chad Henne hit Ace Sanders for a 51-yard catch-and-run.

That might be enough against the punchless Texans, who have just 4 yards (four!) on 12 first-quarter plays.

On the surface, it looks like a game played between teams with a combined 3-17 record. Actually, that’s exactly what it is.

    Houston management shut ‘em down.

Management wants the #1 pick of the 2014 NFL Draft.

Well, you guys wanted Keenum. And you got him. One trick pony.

Before Houston’s first points in the second quarter, the Texans called a timeout, and the ref announced “Timeout Tennessee” in Reliant Stadium! LOL, he was booed, as there’s no love lost between those cities (Nashville and Houston).
