After career night, Moreno needs crutches

Denver’s overtime loss at New England happened despite the very best efforts of running back Knowshon Moreno.

The one-time draft bust has broken out during two years with Peyton Manning, and Moreno put together the performance of a lifetime in Foxborough, gaining 224 yards on a whopping 37 carries.

Per multiple reports, Moreno was spotted in the locker room on crutches.  Mike Klis of the Denver Post has reported that Moreno left the stadium in a walking boot.

It became obvious during overtime that Moreno had injured his right foot or ankle.  He continued to play not long after hopping toward the sidelines after an Aqib Talib tackle.

The Broncos will need Moreno next Sunday, when they head to Kansas City for a rematch with the Chiefs.

At some point you gotta decide to give the young guy another chance. If you can’t depend on him to carry the ball because of one fumble in that game, then when can you depend on him? When it doesn’t count? But he might not be needed then. He was needed tonight, but they stuck with an injured player over a healthy and fresh RB.

BB was the better coach in this game. And his wind choice didn’t blow up in his face, plus he got the win. So what does it matter. Except as a lesson for the Broncos to learn from.

Hey Moreno- nice game punk! Guess we got the last laugh on you- Foxborough fans!

Or even better yet, as a head’s up to Jim Schwartz, you better not lose a game because you are playing with an injured Reggie Bush instead of giving the ball to Andy Kaufman’s grandson if that’s the best option you got. I’d rather see Stafford go out for a sweep and pull a Tolzien move before I want to see any injured RB be asked to play in a game because you don’t have a healthy back on the roster.

-whole new level of respect for him. That was a really impressive performance, particularly fighting through the injury to go back out on the field.

I don’t know what’s worse Moreno being out or Monte Ball being in.

too bad, he sure tore up the patriots defense, I couldn’t really see how he got hurt, but way to many players like to give ankles an extra twist or two, remember what goes around comes around, wasn’t it the patriots that got tagged for intentionally knocking out players, a couple of years ago, I think they got paid to do it?? course they got nailed for doing more than than that.

Moreno played great and was very tough to start. I feel bad for the Denver fans that they not only lost but got rewarded with this injury.

See you in the playoffs Donks

Msbets…I’m guessing you’re either (A) not a football fan or (B) an imbecile because anyone who wasn’t marooned on an island in the South Pacific for the last 5 years knows that it was the Saints who “got tagged for intentionally knocking out players a couple of years ago…they got paid to do it…” I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and go with option (A).

It’s Knoshon Moreno. You knew it was going to happen, just not when.

Did they videotape his practices before the game ??

“wasn’t it the patriots that got tagged for intentionally knocking out players, a couple of years ago”

Uhh, they cheated to win their 3 sb’s. We all saw what the giants did to them to hand them a perfect ending to a perfect season when they couldn’t videotape and cheat.

Wow..talk about a total Donkey collapse!..It was sad to watch Manning throw his team mates under the bus in the post game conference..I don’t think I heard the word “I”once..Typical arrogant Manning.

Ladies and gentleman, this is what hating does to your brain. Next thing I expect to read from a Denver hater is that it was the Pats who cheated the salary cap in their superbowl years.

He was seen in a walking boot after the game. Doesn’t sound good for the Chiefs game.

  20. highpeaksone says: Nov 25, 2013 2:21 PM

I see there are a lot of haters in the New England area today, but why must you hate on a guy who showed amazing talent and remarkable drive to win. Moreno came up short and so did the Bronco’s….New England fans pretend you’ve been there before and show some class!

  21. bmac17 says: Nov 26, 2013 1:20 PM

    highpeaksone,
When the fans”pretend’ they have been there before should they pretend it is 2001, 2003, or 2004!

Get a clue! They have been there before and won, more than any other franchise in last 15 years!

How long til the ‘spygaters’ chime in…5,4,3,2,1…
