Jason Hatcher was tasting blood after victory

Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul was hoping to fire up his own teammates with last week’s comments, saying “There’s going to be a lot of blood spilled out there,” against the Cowboys.

But it was the Cowboys who tasted blood Sunday.

Defensive tackle Jason Hatcher had fake blood smeared across his face in the post-game locker room after the 24-21 win.

I just finished eating a Giant,” Hatcher said, via Todd Archer of ESPNDallas.com. “Y’all didn’t see me out there? That’s some leftover blood. They said blood is going to be shed, right?”

Hatcher did most of the eating, with two sacks of Giants quarterback Eli Manning. And he made the Giants eat a week’s worth of words, after several of their players had talked a lot of trash or guaranteed a win last week.

And unusually enough, it was the Cowboys that let their deeds do the talking.

“Action speaks louder than words, so we went out there and did what we were supposed to do tonight,” Hatcher said. “Actions speak louder than words, so we went out there and we did what we were supposed to do tonight. They talked the talk. They had to back it up, and they didn’t. We came out with the victory. We came into their house and took it from them. . . .

“It feels good. This team is all about action. We don’t get caught up in all this. After it’s done, we show what we can do. I’m proud of my team. I’m proud of what we did. They didn’t give us nothing. We took it.”

Of course, if the Cowboys always showed this kind of dedication to action, they might not be so consistently inconsistent, and would have more of a pulse as they push for the playoffs.

But what will he have smeared across his face when the Cowboys blow their 4 game lead to the Eagles?

Cowboys fans – please don’t fail to show up on this site in January when you’re sent home early – again, for the 19th year in a row…

One of the best quotes ever! Luv me some Hatcher. Nothing better than beating the Giants after they flap their lips all week.

Just like the Cowboys. They beat a losing team Sunday and now they’re talking like they’re going to the Super Bowl. Ha Ha. Too funny. The last winning team yall played “the Saints” beat you 49 to 17. Ha ha. Remember that! Ha Ha. I got a news flash for ya Cowboys, “all the teams in the playoffs WILL have a winning record”. So even if you guys luck out and win the NFC “least” against all those tough scarey teams in your division (ha ha ha ha) you will get bounced in the 1st round! That’s the facts. Ha ha. Geaux Saints!

Jerry Jones, request a pay cut from #19 or cut him and sign this beast “The Hatch”. Most sacks on the team and he is one of the many leaders in the Cowboys locker room. Love the passion this guy has for the game.

Cowboys will get destroyed in New Orleans or Seattle on the road in January, if they get that far.

Oh how I love it when Dem Cowboys beat the Giants. Mediocre at best during the Eli/Coughlin era = 2 Super Bowl wins. Smdh

What’s just like the Cowboys? When did Hatch or anyone else for that matter say ANYTHING about the Super Bowl after beating the Giants last night? He was responding to all of the trash talking the Giants did the week leading up to the game.

But thanks for the news flash, I’m sure it’s a stunning revelation to not only the Cowboys but to every other team, and every fan that comes to this board that in the playoffs the other teams will most likely have a winning record. Nice analysis….Ha ha? Ha ha?

I’ve noticed that the saints don’t win as big when they have to play a good defense Dallas is getting theirs back so u better watch out with what u which for if they do make it to rt the playoffs our whole starting defense will be back and they will knock off your sorry ass saints

Jason Hatcher has backed Jerry Jones into a no-win situation.

As a free agent at the end of the season, his play deserves a contract that rewards him. Jerry Jones either has to risk paying top dollar to another 30+ year-old defensive linemen, or let one of the leaders of the defense go elsewhere.

Unless Hatch is willing to give the Cowboys a discount, I don’t see that they will be able to afford to keep him…

    ……………………..
Eagles fan talking trash. Yeah, the same Eagles whose combined record the last two years was what, 10-22? The same Eagles who, the last time they faced off with Dallas for a divisional title, lost to Dallas in week 17, and then again in the playoffs 1 week later?

Lots of teams have earned the right to talk trash to Dallas about their run of 2 straight years of losing the division title in week 17. The Eagles definitely ain’t one of them though.

Come on now. Don’t be so hard on Eagles’ fans. Their perception is clearly blinded by the glare of all those Lombardi trophies in the Philly trophy case.

When you talk smack and don’t back it up you deserve to lose. Getting FG’s in the red zone may have worked against the scrub/backup QBs but won’t work against Romo. You need to score TDs. Maybe now they will keep their mouth shout and play out the season.

  16. zedneser says: Nov 25, 2013 7:50 PM

JPP talked the most smack. What’d his stat line look like Sunday? 1 assisted tackle. Way to back it up, chump.
