The Dolphins face the Jets in Week 13 in a battle of 5-6 teams that will see the loser in bad shape when it comes to making a run for the second Wild Card spot in the AFC and they have a chance of getting their starting center back for the game.

Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports Mike Pouncey returned to practice on Tuesday, his first time back on the field since getting ill during the week before the team’s Week 11 victory against the Chargers. Pouncey is trying to play while taking medication for a gallbladder issue that may require surgery.

Nate Garner has played center in Pouncey’s place in the last two games with Sam Brenner moving from the practice squad to left guard. Brenner hurt his knee in last weekend’s loss to the Panthers, but was able to return to the game.

The Dolphins also made a few roster moves on Tuesday. They signed defensive tackle A.J. Francis off of the Patriots practice squad and released defensive tackle Isaako Aaitui and defensive back D.J. Campbell. Francis was with the Dolphins in training camp, but went to New England on waivers when the Dolphins set their initial 53-man roster.
