Darrelle Revis day-to-day with groin injury

Cornerback Darrelle Revis had an MRI after injuring his groin against the Lions last Sunday and the results have returned without a sign of anything too bad for him or the Buccaneers.

Coach Greg Schiano said at his Wednesday news conference that the MRI didn’t reveal anything drastically wrong with Revis that would force Schiano to rule him out of this week’s matchup with the Panthers. Schiano called Revis, who didn’t practice Wednesday, day-to-day, which means we’re probably looking at a questionable designation for Sunday if Revis can get in a limited practice or two over the rest of the week.

Winning for the fourth straight week will be a much easier task for Tampa if Revis is able to take Steve Smith out of the game, although that’s not a task easily accomplished at less than 100 percent.

The Bucs should have linebacker Mason Foster back in the lineup, however. Foster missed last weekend’s game with a concussion, but he’s received the green light to get back to work this week.

yes sir the bucs sure got their money’s worth with this guy didn’t they? but don’t worry he will still want a new contract after the season for having such a great year in the games he did play in!

ummmmm … Revis has started every game for the Bucs this year and even with not being %100 in the beginning of the year he is still grading out as the best CB in the league by multiple sources. Granted i am not totally sure how the go about grading CBs (targets, ints, etc) but he seems to be holding his own there.

and as far as the contract goes, it is a year by year contract. after every season, for 6 seasons, the Bucs can decide to cut him and just walk away without owing money.

but i don’t want facts to get in the way of your fantasies you are having, continue on

He’ll ask out of the game after the first Panthers offensive series when he gets beat by Smitty.

The guy who came in after revis played better coverage on megatron than revis although stats will say different.

Revis is the #1 rated CB in 2013 according to Pro Football Focus…..and I think I’d take their word for it…

Personally I think its better when you DONT hear a cornerbacks name in the headlines, that goes hand in hand with not hearing the ELITE receivers name hes guarding as well. that in my definition is a shut down corner so yea revis is money well spent. go bucs

Funny those same stats rated Asununa (or however u spell his name, the former Raider, former eagle & former forty-whiner), the best CB. However, he really wasn’t good at all. Use your eyes, not what ppl tell you. Ok Revis was playing well, yet when megatron & smith are on rge schedule he’s “hurt”…come on man!

You guys will see eventually that he gets these mysterious problems whenever he gets burned.

First things first, he’ll grab a hamstring or a knee.

Looking forward to all the complaints next draft when we don’t have a 3rd round pick and everyone realizes the trade was a huge mistake.
