Broncos coach John Fox has returned to Denver, more than three weeks after undergoing heart valve replacement surgery. And while there’s still no timetable for his return to the sidelines, he could return to the stadium before he resumes his usual coaching role.
Per a source with knowledge of the situation, there’s a “legitimate possibility” that Fox will spend at least one game coaching from the booth.
Fox has been in regular communication with his team, and it’s likely that he’ll gradually increase his workload until he is cleared to actually attend a game.
It’s still unclear when that will happen. Until Fox can resume his regular responsibilities, Jack Del Rio will continue to be the interim head coach.
