Rookie running back Johnathan Franklin didn’t make much of an impact for the Packers this year. And now he won’t do anything else.

According to Tom Pelissero of USA Today, the Packers put the rookie running back on injured reserve Wednesday. They filled the roster spot by promoting linebacker Victor Aiyewa from the practice squad.

Franklin suffered a concussion last week while returning the opening kickoff.

The fourth-round pick only had 19 rushing attempts this season for 107 yards and a touchdown. Of those total yards, 103 of them came against the Bengals in Week Three, and he hasn’t been much of a factor since.

The Packers drafted backs in bulk hoping one would stick, and they haven’t been disappointed by second-rounder Eddie Lacy.
