No practice yet this week for Cromartie

AP

On Sunday, Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie exited a loss to the Ravens with a hip injury that has been bothering him in recent weeks.

On Wednesday and Thursday, Cromartie has not practiced.

According to the team’s official injury report, Cromartie has missed both sessions due to the lingering hip problem.

Also absent for the Jets on Thursday were receiver Santonio Holmes (foot/hamstring) and tight end Kellen Winslow (knee).  Both practiced Wednesday on a limited basis.

Running back Chris Ivory (ankle), receiver Jeremy Kerley (elbow), center Nick Mangold (wrist), and linebacker Garrett McIntyre (knee) also practiced on a limited basis.

The 5-6 Jets host the 5-6 Dolphins on Sunday.  The Jets are hoping to break their first two-game losing streak of the season.

  1. A game between my ” once again disappointing” Dolphins and the “irrelevant” Jets. Hope a better game is on in our area.

  2. So who would want to practice on the frozen turf in Florham Park? If you don’t have injuries before practice, the chances are good for acquiring some. Then for a reward, the players get to smash their bones into the tundra at MetLife in beautiful, windswept, East Rutherford. It may not be as frigid as Lambeau, but once the mercury dips below freezing, who’s counting?

  3. Wrecks is fond of proclaiming certain regular season games his team’s “Super Bowl” since that’s as close as he’s going to come (despite his guarantee times two.)

I guess this can probably be called the “Mediocre Bowl”

    The winner is officially mediocre.

    Should be a ratings bonanza.
