Ravens strike first against Pittsburgh

A strong start by the Ravens’ passing game has given host Baltimore an early lead against Pittsburgh on Thursday night.

Quarterback Joe Flacco hit wideout Torrey Smith for a seven-yard TD to give the Ravens a 7-0 edge over the Steelers with 9:18 in the first quarter.

Smith had three catches for 65 yards on the drive, including a 54-yarder that put Baltimore on the Pittsburgh 1. On the 54-yard completion, Smith got behind the Steelers’ secondary on a deep post down the middle of the field. Three plays later, Flacco found Smith for the game’s first score.

The Steelers went three-and-out on their first possession, running on all three plays.

Flacco is going to give us the game. We are righteous.

    Dear Armchair Quarterbacks,

In case you missed it, please note the following plays I called to start the game in Baltimore.

Run on 1st down, Run on 2nd down, Run on 3rd down, Punt on 4th down.

Now THAT’s how you call plays to open the series of such an important game.

Now if you don’t mind I have a game to get back to.

    Signed,

    Todd Haley

Why do the commentators add 5 lbs to laveon Bell every time they talk about him?

Dude is like 215 at most but collinsworth has him at 240 + tonight. What??

If it worked, you would’ve been like, “great play-calling”. Shut up and support your team.

    Go Steelers!

welp, the Jump Ball Joe strategy worked for em in the first half. unlikely it works in the 2nd.

Ravenswhat, game is far from over and Joe is his normal self to throw deep and hope for a flag.

I would say that the Ravens will most likely win. They have a pretty commanding lead. The Steelers are going to need to get better in all faces. I just don’t see it happening Ben doesn’t have it tonight.
