The Ravens have received positive contributions from their offense, defense and special teams en route to a 13-0 early third-quarter lead vs. the Steelers in Baltimore.
The Ravens’ defense, which held the Steelers to 98 first-half yards, has been stout. The Ravens’ offense, meanwhile, scored the game’s first points on a Torrey Smith seven-yard TD catch.
Baltimore has also outplayed Pittsburgh in the kicking game. The Ravens have hit their two field goal tries, while the Steelers’ lone attempt never got off the ground after Shaun Suisham appeared to start his run-up to the ball too early. The attempt was aborted, and the Steelers were stopped for a loss and a turnover on downs.
Both 5-6, the Ravens and Steelers are considered prime contenders for the AFC’s final wild-card spot. To this point, Baltimore’s play in all three phases has been the difference in this important matchup.
