Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte didn’t practice on Wednesday.
However, head coach Marc Trestman doesn’t view it as much of a concern for his availability this Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings.
According to Jeff Dickerson of ESPNChicago.com, Trestman is confident Forte will be available this week.
“I feel pretty good that he’ll start getting some work tomorrow. We’ll see where he is at, but I’m going in optimistic,” Trestman said.
Forte suffered a hyper-extended right knee last week against the St. Louis Rams but managed to finish the game. He carried 16 times for 77 yards and caught seven passes for 40 yards.
Forte has missed just five games over the course of his six-year career with the Bears.
