Broncos defensive end Derek Wolfe has been hospitalized with an illness, the team announced.

According to a statement released by the Broncos, Wolfe became sick on the team bus to the Denver airport before the Broncos flew to Kansas City on Friday. He was examined by the team’s medical staff on the bus and then taken by ambulance to the hospital.

The statement says doctors are currently evaluating Wolfe’s illness and attempting to determine the cause of his symptoms. No details about the symptoms were given. Wolfe will not play Sunday against the Chiefs.

Wolfe also became ill during the preseason. At the time he attributed his sickness to food poisoning.

Isn t this the gu that nearly had his neck broken by cheapshot artist, Michael Robinson, in the preseason?

Jason is 100 percent correct. Within the context of Chip Kellys 11 headed offensive monster Machine Tour 2013 there is nothing a cornerback can do to stop it. They try to contain it, and if they don’t then Foles drops 7 TD’s on you. Stop Files, Shady drops 170 and 3 TDs on you. And theres simply nothing anyone can do about it.

Forget about hanging out with Tampa players, was he hanging out with the Broncos’ management?

Damn I hope he’s alright. I think going to the hospital for sickness is potentially worse then getting injured because you have to be pretty Damn sick to go to the emergency room for that.
I’m not a Broncos fan by any means but I hope he has a speedy recovery.
Does anyone know if this guy is a starter or if he gets a fair amount of playing time?

One of the best 2nd year D Linemen in the league. Strong run-stopper, very good pass rusher for his size.

I don’t know what’s wrong and i hope he’s ok, but something ain’t right about this situation.

Sounds like he needs to go to Korea for a month or so during the off-season. After my one-year tour there, I could eat anything!

Makes a person wonder who’s in charge of cooking duties at his home, and if they might benefit from the county health department’s 9o minute class on food handling safety.

Wolfe is an excellent player and a fine young man. Never knew his dad. Homeless for a good portion of his youth. Led the team’s linemen in snaps as a rookie. The poor guy has had terrible luck this season.

Manning should have been hospitalized last week. I saw him choking on the field.

Omg I am so sick of hearing about how manning choked. He didn’t give up all the points to the patriots and he definitely didn’t touch the ball on the muffed punt. Tom Brady didn’t win that game- the Broncos lost it.

SEE…….this is why you don’t keep a half a sandwich that was left in your locker and then take it with you to eat later………(sarcasium)?

“tom brady didnt win that game, the broncos lost it’
manning is now 4-11 vs brady. color it any shade you want but that is being dominated.period

Manning plays vs. the defense not Tom Brady. They aren’t playing a game of H-O-R-S-E in their back yard. Break down the win loss record by where they’ve played. They both have winning records vs. each other in their respective stadiums. They’ve played more in New England.

    Hey caseyanthonymunoz…

Please tell us all which team you follow so we can all go post negative crap about your team.. oh wait.. nobody cares about the raiders anyways… talk about choking.. oh my!

Anytime you are up by 24 on the road and lose…that’s a choke. The Broncos as a whole choked . Manning is now a Bronco. Ergo, Manning choked, Welker choked, the Defense choked.
What was the Denver offense doing between Patriots scoring drives? …ding, ding, ding….CHOKING!!!

  22. mightymorgan18 says: Dec 1, 2013 1:59 AM

So I guess Tom Brady choked in the 4th quarter and overtime because he couldn’t move the ball down the field then either? Based on your logic you would have to agree. So the Patriots choked in the first half, the Broncos choked in the second half, and everyone choked in overtime except the guy who recovered the muffed punt and the field goal kicker.

Broncos fans will be disappointed in the playoffs when they get beat due to Manning has a track record of losing games that matter in the playoffs
