The final-ever game between the Bears and Vikings at the Metrodome will take overtime to decide.

Blair Walsh’s 30-yard field goal evened the score at 20 in the final minute of regulation. The Vikings erased a 10-point third-quarter deficit to force OT.

Adrian Peterson has 160 rushing yards for the Vikings and has exceeded 10,000 rushing yards for his career. Wideout Alshon Jeffery has starred for Chicago, hauling in 10 passes for 234 yards and two TDs.

The Bears won the toss and will receive the ball in overtime.

    Break up the Vikings!

Ticky-tack penalty just took the win away in OT too. Fascinating.

For a second, I thought the football gods were smiling on the Vikings with that missed kick by Walsh and penalty by Ellison…then the bears coach does one of the stupidest things I’ve ever seen…and all of a sudden, the Vikings win this game and continue to hurt their chances at the top pick in the draft.

What kind of coach kicks a 47 yard field goal on 2nd down and 7… Why not get more yards to shorten the length?

Easily one of the dumbest moves I’ve ever seen by an nfl coach, and team that is supposed to be good and a playoff contender.

The Bears falling apart again late on a season??

Bears fans, this is my shocked face!!

Thank you Mr Walsh and Thank you Mr Gould for playing today. As far as Ashlon, one heck of a player who is turning into a monster.

200 plays in a game. A very entertaining game after half-time. The ref’s were throwing flags all game, but at least both teams were pretty much equally penalized.

Looks like the Bears and Packers will be playing for draft position the last game of the year. No playoffs for these two pathetic teams! But the Vikes keep wrecking their draft position! Why?

  11. spyder9669 says: Dec 1, 2013 4:57 PM

Keep winning meaningless games and lose out yet again on a franchise QB. Unbelievable. Jacksonville is trying to hand us Bridgewater on a silver platter. The Vikings probably are hapless after all.

Thanks Vikings from a Lions fan!!

Good luck up to week 17

    GO LIONS!!!!

LOL! Thanks, AP! AP’s probably texting Megatron right now that we owe him. We do! Thanks, Vikings! If McCown gives you the best chance to win, Bears, you’re done.

Perhaps he thought he was still in the CFL?

What a game. Good job Vikes

lol ex CFL coach tries a 47 yarder on 2 down… Did he forget there are 4 downs in the NFL?

  18. edavidberg says: Dec 1, 2013 5:17 PM

Trestman is an idiot and the Bears defense is just terrible. Future is not looking great for all the Bears fans out there.

  19. kabasaman says: Dec 1, 2013 5:20 PM

As a Bears fan: Trestman is starting to make me wonder? WTF… with sending Gould out to Choke on 2nd down. WTF… He is making stupid calls. Over, and over again.. They might want to find someone who can draft a defensive player or two. Conte has to be the worst safety in the league. sorry. Emery better start looking in the mirror.

  21. dahmergeinteam says: Dec 1, 2013 5:27 PM

I didn’t care who won this game, I just wanted these two teams to kill each other and let me pick up the pieces.

  22. obsessedvikingfan says: Dec 1, 2013 5:28 PM

Any of you So called Viking fans whining because we won, go root for the Packers.

No true fan of the Purple wants a loss. Period.

  23. iowahbr says: Dec 1, 2013 5:32 PM

Bears now have a clear chance to run the table and go 6 and 10 for the year. We need the Canadian rules in the NFL.

  24. iowahbr says: Dec 1, 2013 5:35 PM

the only really interesting thing about the whole game was to judge who had the sadder look on his face, Frazier or Trestman?

  25. roanboon says: Dec 1, 2013 5:38 PM

That was the type of game the bears always seem to find a way to win.

  26. schmitty2 says: Dec 1, 2013 5:38 PM

For all you so called “fans” giving grief to the Vikes winning..what is wrong with beating a division rival and giving them a serious blow to their playoff chances in the process? Do you know for a fact that a high draft pick they might miss out on will actually pan out in the pros?

  27. asublimeday says: Dec 1, 2013 5:43 PM

Imagine if AP played for a real franchise

  28. iowahbr says: Dec 1, 2013 5:44 PM

As I suggested six weeks ago before we went through all this silly Josh stuff. It’s Tebow time. The Bears are now so bad that only a miracle will help and we know who has a hotline to the Big Guy.

  29. fr0sted21 says: Dec 1, 2013 5:44 PM

Amen. So sick and tired of “fans” hoping for losses. Especially against the Bears/Packers/etc.. Have you forgotten what the point of a football game is? We are just as likely (if not more) to draft a bust with the 1st overall pick as we are to find a franchise QB. You think AD cares whether we get the 1st or 6th pick?

    SKOL

  30. coachkilla6 says: Dec 1, 2013 5:46 PM

Now I know why the “GSH” on their uniforms stands for Gonna Stay Home. duh Bears miss the playoffs again due to an even worse coach than the one they canned last year. Pathetic.

  31. shlort says: Dec 1, 2013 5:48 PM

Vikings are going to the Superbowl this year.. Wooohoooo!!!!!!

  32. egyptdog31 says: Dec 1, 2013 6:29 PM

Worse thing Bears did was hurt Ponder….it cost them the game.

  33. bearshaterseverywhere says: Dec 1, 2013 7:53 PM

Calm down everyone. Not Trestman’s fault. I agree with Larry, Robbie is the best kicker in the game and the pressure got to him. Either way, Bears win or Bears lose….the NFC North is a terrible division and the worst team is running away with 1st place only to choke out like they always do.

This is just one more reason that Viking fans are vastly inferior to Packer fans.
