The Eagles snapped a long home losing streak their last time out and they’re off to a good start on building a winning streak on Sunday.
Trent Cole forced a fumble on a sack of Carson Palmer on Arizona’s first possession of the game and Bennie Logan fell on the ball to set the Eagles up with prime field position early in the first quarter. It didn’t take long for Nick Foles to cash in on it.
Foles hit Brent Celek twice to move the ball inside the Arizona 10-yard line and then hit Zach Ertz for a six-yard touchdown to stake Philly to a 7-0 lead. Foles now has 17 touchdowns and no interceptions on the season.
The Eagles are looking for a win to keep pace with the Cowboys in the NFC East while the Cardinals need one to keep a leg up in the race for a Wild Card spot.
UPDATE 1:16 p.m. ET: Palmer was intercepted by Nate Allen on a badly underthrown ball to Michael Floyd on the Cardinals’ second possession. Allen returned the ball to midfield, setting the Eagles up in a good spot to extend their lead.
