Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder out with concussion

Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder is out of Sunday’s game vs. Chicago with a concussion, the club said.

Ponder, who was sacked three times in the first two quarters, appeared to be hurt when he was hit by Bears defensive end Shea McClellin on a third-down pass late in the second quarter.

Matt Cassel relieved Ponder to end the half.

The Bears hold a 13-7 third quarter lead vs. Minnesota after a long Alshon Jeffery TD catch to begin the second half.

Ponder completed 3-of-8 passes for 40 yards for the Vikings, who have racked up 107 yards rushing and took a first-half lead on Cordarrelle Patterson 33-yard TD run.

Christian Ponder with a concussion is still better than Scott Tolzien or Matt Flynn

Ponder out with a concussion at the half and still has just as many yards than the packers did during the entire last game.

Ponder out with a concussion and still not as dumb as Packer fans when they binge on varnish.

How cute, even on a day off contra can’t resist talking about the Packers with multiple accounts.

Boy, that touchdown catch by Alshon Jeffery was epic, Chris Cook got posterized on that play! :-D

McClellin is on a mission to put every starting pro QB on the shelf.
    And Ponder too.

Alston Jeffery – more yards in 3 plays than the packers had all throughout their last game.

    KISS THE RINGS

Viking fans really crack me up, bragging about how Ponder (a first round draft pick) is “better” than the Packers’ third and fourth string QBs (undrafted & 7th round, respectively).

Instead, let’s compare our starter with yours. Or would that be just too pathetic and laughable?

We should not hit him at all so he could still be in the game. lol Cassell isn’t great but has a better arm.

Too bad he didn’t prove that last week. Also, even if it were true……congrats. Your first round pick, starting QB MIGHT be better than our third or fourth string QB. That must make Vikings fans proud.

The difference is, in a week or two, we’ll have Aaron Rodgers back for years to come. While you’ll still be stuck with nothing, forced to reach for another first round QB who will surely be a bust.

he is a turnover, weak arm, and injury prone machine.

he is the absolute opposite of what you want at a quarterback. hope he is OK but it’s the truth.

nice to see the vikings returning to peterson on the ground for most of the game. they got too involved in ponder this year, and it cost them the season. peterson is their lane to success.

but for petes sake, don’t start wining games that will cost you the teams future.

also, can the vikings please, oh please, pretty pretty please end the Chris Cook era?

he has never had an interception, and he always, always gets beat!

i’d throw that deep ball every possession against chris cook.

It is because your starter right now is Matt Flynn. Remember how two years ago he torched the lions? I Do, you guys keep reminding everyone.

Our starter is Aaron Rodgers. You must have forgotten that. Luckily, you have me around to remind you.

    You’re welcome.

The Vikes are sure glad they signed Freeman for 2 mil per year.

Freeman will be the starter next week heard it here !

It seems McClellin’s job is to be the Bears hit man and to knock out NFL quarterbacks.
