The Buccaneers have a chance to win their fourth straight game on Sunday while throwing a wrench into the Panthers’ playoff plans and it looks like they’ll have cornerback Darrelle Revis available to help them in that task.
Revis is battling a groin injury that led the Bucs to call him a game-time decision for Week 13. There’s a bit of time left before they have to hand in an official inactive list, but Adam Schefter of ESPN is reporting that Revis will be in the lineup.
Assuming he does play, Revis and Panthers wide receiver Steve Smith will lock up in what should be an entertaining matchup. That will be especially true if the Panthers turn to the passing game more because of injuries in the backfield.
Running backs Jonthan Stewart, Mike Tolbert and DeAngelo Williams are all questionable for Carolina. Schefter reports that Stewart and Tolbert will play, but the outlook for Williams remains very doubtful with kickoff fast approaching.
