Texans grind away at Patriots, lead 17-7 at half

The Patriots may just be setting the stage for another comeback. Or maybe they’re just flat after last week.

The Texans had rushed for just two touchdowns all season, but Ben Tate matched that in the first half, scoring a pair to give his side a 17-7 lead.

That’s a stunner for a team that has lost nine straight, against one of the league’s best teams.

But the Patriots are allowing the Texans to carve them up up front, with little pressure on passing downs and not so much in the way of run defense.

Of course, the Texans have led at halftime in four of their last five games. You don’t get to be 2-9 accidentally.

“Ruh-Roh.” Would someone kindly inform our DEFENSE that this is a game—and not a vacation—day? Make those half-time adjustments, gentlemen.

I called the upset earlier in the week! They never play well in Houston and my Pats are finesse and smash mouth D will always beat finesse

Never underestimate Gary Kubiack’s ability to give away a game in the second half.
