Cordarrelle Patterson keeps making good things happen when the ball is in his hands.

The Bears’ run defense, meanwhile, continues to be a real problem for Chicago.

Patterson’s 33-yard TD run has given the Vikings a 7-3 second-quarter lead against the Bears in the final-ever meeting between the teams at Mall of America Field.

On the play, Patterson lined up at running back, took a hand-off from Christian Ponder and showed exceptional speed and elusiveness on his way to the endzone. He punctuated the touchdown by giving a reluctant official (identified by the Fox telecast as field judge Jeff Lamberth) a low-five.

One of the Vikings’ three first-round picks in the 2013 draft, Patterson now has four TDs, two of which have come on kickoffs.

The 6-5 Bears, who need to win to stay in range of the 7-5 Lions, have already surrendered 89 rushing yards to Minnesota, with Adrian Peterson gaining 60 yards on just eight carries.
