Chiefs left tackle Branden Albert suffered a hyperextended knee in Sunday’s loss to Denver, head coach Andy Reid said at his Monday press conference.

Albert’s injury is a “day-to-day situation,” Reid said.

Considering that Albert left Sunday’s game on a cart, player and team couldn’t have received much better news. As PFT reported on Sunday, the early indications were that Albert was not seriously injured.

Also on Monday, Reid said that outside linebacker Justin Houston was “making progress” in his return from an elbow injury that kept him out of the Denver loss. However, per Adam Teicher of, Reid indicated that Houston may not be ready for Sunday’s game at Washington.

Reid also disclosed that tight end Anthony Fasano has a knee ailment and is undergoing the league’s concussion testing, Randy Covitz of the Kansas City Star reported Monday.

2 losses to the second best team in the AFC, and a 3rd to the 6-8 best team in the AFC in San Diego.

Hellova turn around in just one year. Get it going, hopefully win 3 out of 4, in the next few weeks and be hitting on all cylinders come the playoffs.

    Go Chiefs!

2nd best team in the AFC? I’m sorry but denver is first not second. As much as i love the fact that NE put it to them. If they were to play five times i think Denver would win four. One bad half (not even the whole game) caused that loss and thats not somthing i see that team doing much.

As for Fasano, definately has a concussion. He was lost after that hit, tried to walk to the wrong sideline and yhe ref turned him back the right way.
