With one of the weirdest touchdowns of the NFL, the Seahawks have commenced their blowout of the Saints.
In the third quarter, a pass from Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson to tight end Kellen Davis bounced off Davis’s facemask and then into the waiting arms of fullback Derrick Coleman, who lunged forward for a touchdown. The extra point gave the Seahawks a 34-7 lead.
This game has never been close. Seattle took a 3-0 lead on its first possession and made it 17-0 before the end of the first quarter, and it was 27-7 at halftime. The Seahawks have looked phenomenal.
Barring a miraculous comeback, the fourth quarter will be a boisterous celebration in Seattle.
