Aaron Rodgers hasn’t been cleared and hasn’t been ruled out

0897dfc9f4ab7cc25bd3250585dd78af-1 AP

Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers went to see the doctor on Tuesday, but there’s not much of an update about his condition.

As you’d imagine, the first question that coach Mike McCarthy faced at his press conference had to do with the results of that examination. The answer left things as pretty much status quo at quarterback in Green Bay.

“Aaron Rodgers has not been cleared from medical staff. He will practice in a limited fashion tomorrow, not ruled out for game yet,” McCarthy said.

McCarthy did add that any conversations about shutting Rodgers down for the season came from outside the organization and that Rodgers will play as soon as he’s healthy enough to play.

The signs aren’t good that this will be the week that happens, though. Matt Flynn’s going to be taking the starter’s reps at practice on Wednesday as the team starts preparing to face the Falcons while Rodgers watches and waits for the green light that may not come in time to save the Packers’ season.

It’s not going to matter if the defense gives up 40 points and 200 yards rushing. Pack it in boys, it’s over.

The Minnesota Vikings have now been decided as the symbol of greatness. The Minnesota Vikings are a franchise that has dominated for decades with a .538 overall winning percentage to prove it, ranked #3 in the league worldwide. The NFL has recently scammed the Vikings out of multiple Super Bowl rings because they envy our greatness, jealousy like this prevents the Vikings from this, but we will succeed. The impending Vikings dynasty will soon follow, multiple Super Bowl rings will be coming our way and our greatness will be shown worldwide.

Many of you so called “haters” will say this is not true, but haters are known to envy greatness. Martin Luther King is a great example of a person who resembles the Vikings organization, he changed the world and was hated for it, but people recognize him for greatness

The Minnesota Vikings are the prototypical franchise. We are the Lambourghini of cars, the iPhones of cellular devices, The Kate Uptons of females, and our presence can be felt worldwide by our profound greatness. We are the boat floating proudly on your favorite teams tears, sailing to multiple championships.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see him sit out the rest of the season. That’s just the type of player he is. Yeah that’ll be beneficial to the Packers in the long run for a draft pick, but no way in heck are you telling an Adrian Peterson, Peyton Manning, or Brett Favre they can’t play the last two games because we want a better draft pick, or “we better play it safe with your injury”. As long as those three don’t have compound fractures, shredded neck, or shredded knees, they aren’t coming off the field. Rodgers is soft.

No, because he also said they were better than the Vikings. Since Rodgers went down, the Packers are 0-4-1 and the Vikings are 2-2-1.

Our rookies are doing really well. CP84 will be a Pro Bowl kick returner this year, scored a 33-yard rushing touchdown this week that was sick, and is playing most of the game on offense now. Xavier Rhodes has been a lockdown corner the last two weeks since they started playing more man-to-man, which is his strength. Sharrif Floyd had his best game of the season on Sunday. They’ll all be strong contributors next year, along with our new quarterback Marcus Mariot…I mean, Jimmy Garappolo.

If all the NFC North teams are at 100% health wise, the Packers are the best team in the division.

Not that it matters. Being the best in the NFC North this year would make that division winner the worse team in the playoffs. There will be better teams that don’t get into the playoffs, than the team that represents the NFC North. Wild card round exit for whoever wins the NFC North. As far as direct competition within the division…..sorry, our franchise wasn’t around in 1812, but the Vikes own 18 division titles to your 11…….could care less about your “titles” in a 6 team league in the 30s………in any sense of modern football, we own the division……when win 50% more than you have today, you will still be behind…..fitting, you guys are the packers!

Seriously, if just making the playoffs makes you happy, all I can say is good for you. I won’t take that away from you. But to me, making the playoffs and not winning the Super Bowl is like getting a date, but still spending the night alone.

Maybe it just takes winning a Lombardi Trophy to understand just how awesome it is.

Who cares? Stick a fork in the hapless, tasteless Packers. They haven’t won a game in 5 straight weeks and thoroughly embarrassed themselves and their fans on Thanksgiving. I watched the entire game and that team gave up and were outgained by over 400 yards. Aaron Rodgers is the least of your problems, that Dom Capers defense sucks!

Just for clarification, the Packers have only won 2 of their NFL record 13 World Championships in the past 17 seasons.

In that same time span, the Vikings have won 0 (zero). In fact, the Vikings have won 0 (zero) World Championships dating all the way back to the beginning of time itself.

The best Green Bay can do is 9-6-1.

The 49ers are 8-4 and they play St. Louis, Seattle, Tampa Bay and Atlanta.

They can lose to Seattle, but at most they will lose 1 of the other 3 and more likely zero.

    Worst record of 10-6.

Carolina are 9-3 and probably can only lose a max of 2 of the remaining 4.

    New Orleans is the same.

Both of their worst record will be 11-5.

Arizona, Dallas and Philly are all 7-5. One of them will probably go 10-6.

Why would Green Bay risk playing Rodgers when they have absolutely no chance to make the playoffs at all. They should shut him down.

Rodgers grows a mustache every November to raise funds for Prostate Cancer Awareness. Obviously not a good look for him just like pink doesn’t look good with Packer uniforms. Please don’t come back with the same lame mustache comments again next year.

    Come on, guys!

You can’t use history before Deuce says is allowable, because then his franchise looks terrible.

    Oh, wait, it is.

If you’re going to be selective about history, so can we. Let’s go back to the conception of the NFC North. The most current iteration of the NFL, and it’s divisions.

How does that work for you, loser?

“Why would Green Bay risk playing Rodgers when they have absolutely no chance to make the playoffs at all. They should shut him down.”

GB can still win the division if they win out and both the Bears and the Lions at 7-5 lose 2 of their 4 remaining games. Bears play the Packers in the season finale so they would only have to lose 1 other game in that scenario.

Not that I expect any of that to happen but just thought I would clarify that for everyone.

Yea the Minnesota vikings are the greatest organization in the NFL… They’ve won multiple Champ, I mean Division titles. They have a dozen or so Hall, I mean pro bowlers. They’ve captured the hearts of mil, I mean hundreds of fans….

    —————————————————

Another Packer fan skirting the facts.

According to the Hall of Fame website the Vikings have 17 inducted members who are associated with the club. (I personally don’t think a few of them, like Langer & Casper, should be included, but they did play for Minnesota).

The Packers have 27. 21 of those started their careers before the Vikings were even a franchise. Only six of those players started their careers in the last 52 years.

So, since the Vikings have been around they have 17 Hall of Famers to the Packers 6.

DEFENSE is the issue. Granted it doesn’t help when your leader on offense is out. Maybe us Packer fans take Rodgers for granted. Vikings fans would drool at the thoughts of having such a talent on their team. If I’m not mistaken they passed on Rodgers in the draft.

You are close, Tony. Minnesota passed on Rodgers TWICE in that draft. They decided that Troy Williamson and Erasmus James would be better franchise players. No wonder there is so much bitterness. The Viking nuts on this page didn’t fall far from that tree.

Once again, an astounding lack of knowledge from a fan base that claims to be experts on all things football. (Understanding of ownership aside)

The Vikings were coming off a season in which their 27 year old QB had one the best seasons by a QB up to that point in history.

Now I know you Packer fans are bitter because TT did not prepare for the likelihood of his starting QB going down, by having an adequate backup; but why would a team spend a first round draft choice on a QB when they have a young back-to-back Pro Bowler already on the squad? I’m sure even as Packer fans you can see how silly that would be. Or…perhaps not.

There was no way the Vikings could have foreseen Culpepper suffering an injury that would forever alter his career path. Credit does go to TT for having the foresight to draft Rodgers (a possible #1 overall player) to replace an aging Favre. Maybe with Rodgers injury he should be doing that again.

Vikings didn’t need a QB in that draft so they weren’t looking. It’s like the Seahawks picking a QB in next years draft. Looks like you will take any position in next years draft though.

Nor did the Packers, Brett still had a few years that he wanted to play. The reason why GB took him, is the fact they like to Groom their QB’s to play the system, they saw something great in him even if they did not NEED a new QB at the time. It’s hard to figure out draft needs… And since GB does not use FA much, they really have to find those gems and Rodgers was one the Vikings missed, along with much of the rest of the NFL.
