Allen Reisner returns to practice for Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars have played much better football over the past four weeks with head coach Gus Bradley leading the team to three victories in four games, all on the road.

The Jaguars are closing in on getting a contributor back to their offense as well. Reserve tight end Allen Reisner was designated as returning to practice today on the league’s daily transaction report.

Reisner was placed on the short-term injured reserve list after suffering a sprained MCL in his knee during a loss to the St. Louis Rams in Week 5.

Reisner was eligible to return to practice as early as two weeks ago but still hadn’t been able to return to the field for the Jaguars. He is eligible to play Thursday night against the Houston Texans, however, it’s unlikely he’ll be able to play that soon with the truncated week.

Reisner is a depth option for Jacksonville when he can get back on the field. He caught five passes for 40 yards in the first five games before being suffering the injury against St. Louis.
