Chiefs cut Kyle Love, bring Jerrel Powe back

There was a rush of compassion for defensive tackle Kyle Love, after the Patriots released him upon learning of a diagnosis of Type 2 diabetes.

But he hasn’t been able to keep another job since then, either.

The Chiefs announced they were cutting Love, to make room for nose tackle Jerrel Powe on the 53-man roster.

The Chiefs signed him two weeks ago, after he spent training camp with the Jaguars but was released the day after final cuts.

They can now line Powe up behind Dontari Poe on the depth chart just to confuse everybody.

The Patriots did not cut Kyle Love upon learning of his diabetes. They advised him to go on IR and take the year off to get his health back together.

Kyle declined as he thought he could play this year. Had he taken New England’s he would have received a full year’s pay with full benefits and the time he needed for proper treatment.

A low class organization like the Patriots that endorses cheating above all else, can’t be expected to have ethical business practices. Of course they released him because of his diabetes.

You Pats haters and your ignorance are getting pathetic. As said in the post immediately above yours the Pats offered to IR him and pay him for the year while he learned how to deal properly with his diabetes and get it under control. Your distortion of the facts is laughable.

Let me explain what happens if you don’t get diabetes under control. You get nerve damage in your legs, your feet and other areas of your body that is irreversible extremely painless. I know this because the owner of the company I manage ignore his diagnosis of type 2 diabetes for 4-5 years and now can barely walk.

Ie; unable to play football if you don’t learn how to manage your diet, sugar levels and everything else properly.

Could be back on the Pats soon with all the defensive injuries there.

Sorry meant to say the nerve damage is extremely painful, not painless.
