Saints stranded in Seattle after plane breaks down

Sean Payton AP

A bad night for the New Orleans Saints has gotten even worse.

After a 34-7 trouncing at the hands of the Seattle Seahawks, the Saints couldn’t even hop on their plane to return home to Louisiana. According to Mike Triplett of ESPN.com, problems with the team plane left the team stranded in Seattle for an extra night.

The Saints already face a short week of preparation coming off of Monday’s night game against the Seahawks. The Saints play host to the Carolina Panthers next Sunday in a game that will give the upper hand to the victory in the fight for the NFC South division crown.

Now the Saints will have to deal with a wrench thrown into the works with the additional night in Seattle.

That’s horrible for them. Especially after not playing well.

Their plane quit just like their offense in the 4th quarter. Football gods getting back at a team for packing it in before the game ended??

That is some bad luck. Coincidentally enough, the Patriots team plane also had issue after their road Monday Night loss in Carolina. I think they were still able to travel but didn’t get back to New England until 5 or 6 am

That’s funny because their game never got on the plane in New Orleams.

Surveillance footage showed a 6’5″ 250 lb. mechanic leaving the plane’s garage. Said mechanic was wearing an unidentifiable jersey type shirt with a number 1 on it. Police are investigating.

    I apologize,it’s early :)

Add that kick in the pants to the beat down they got at the hands of Seattle!!….. Seattle has some kinda defense…. Is that Chris Clemons the same guy who played in Washington for four seasons & couldn’t break the starting lineup?

God must be punishing Bobby Jindal because he refused to expand Medicaid under Obama Care, and hundreds of thousands will be without insurance in Louisiana.
