A bad night for the New Orleans Saints has gotten even worse.

After a 34-7 trouncing at the hands of the Seattle Seahawks, the Saints couldn’t even hop on their plane to return home to Louisiana. According to Mike Triplett of ESPN.com, problems with the team plane left the team stranded in Seattle for an extra night.

The Saints already face a short week of preparation coming off of Monday’s night game against the Seahawks. The Saints play host to the Carolina Panthers next Sunday in a game that will give the upper hand to the victory in the fight for the NFC South division crown.

Now the Saints will have to deal with a wrench thrown into the works with the additional night in Seattle.
