Adrian Peterson listed as questionable, but he’s expected to play

Though Vikings running back Adrian Peterson (groin) was limited in practice on Friday, it appears he’ll be ready to play in Sunday’s game at Baltimore.

While the Vikings have ruled out quarterback Christian Ponder (concussion), tight end Kyle Rudolph (foot) and cornerback Josh Robinson (chest), coach Leslie Frazier expressed hope that the club’s other injured players would be available.

“We should have everybody else,” Frazier said Friday.

Frazier indicated Peterson’s injury will be something the star tailback will be dealing with throughout the final weeks of the season, and the club will adjust accordingly.

“We’ll have to manage it throughout the rest of the reminder of the regular season,” Frazier said.

Peterson, 28, leads the NFL with 1,208 rushing yards.

In addition to Peterson, linebacker Larry Dean (knee) and safety Jamarca Sanford (ankle) are listed as questionable for Sunday. Dean was limited on Friday, while Sanford fully practiced.

Seven Vikings players are listed probable, including defensive end Jared Allen (finger). All seven probable players went through full practices on Friday.

Adrian Peterson on a stretcher could still run for 200 yards on the pathetic Ravens rush defense…

    Questionable parenting.

Could you hold him out this week to help him heal? I’ll need him in my fantasy playoffs next week.

adrian peterson has totaled more yardage running away from his parenting responsibilities than running thru defenses.

These last few games are meaningless yet AD will play them with a strained groin. Meanwhile, the Packers are planning to shut Aaron Rodgers down for the season if they lose this week even though he’ll be more than healthy enough to play. So who’s the #warrior?

He’s healthy. It’s his character that is questionable.

This makes sense. Aaron Rodgers still has hopes of winning another Super Bowl in upcoming years. AP, not so much if he stays in Minnesota.

Of course he will play, its not like we are talking about Aaron Rodgers here.

Hmmm…..didn’t Peterson sit out the rest of his Junior year, missing 7 games, after breaking his collar bone?

    Hypocrite much?

Again, he does this stuff all the time. If he has a great game, then he’s the hero who played through such a terrible injury. If he has a terrible game, then it’s all due to the injury. What a lame loser.

I’m sure he’ll play, unless another one of his baby mama’s has her sick demented boyfriend take his anger out of one of Peterson’s children that he didn’t even know existed a week before but hey, what are the chances of that happening again?

And of course the difference is that AP is playing to increase his stock for a trade, as he has made his desire to leave Minneapolis public. If he can finish the year, the Vikings could get as much as a third rounder for him.

    ______________________________

AP wasn’t making $20 mil a year in college.

And didn’t have the unlimited medical resources and rehab facilities that the Packers should have.

    Just a little different situation…

Growing a mustache while riding pine with a boo boo, that’s a shame.

  25. skimbell says: Dec 7, 2013 9:41 AM

Oh yeah, Peterson will play. It wont make a bit of difference in the Queens overall picture but Peterson still needs to average about 325 yds. a game to get to that 2500 he was running off the mouth about during the offseason.
No team hardware for Peterson. It’s all about personal records for him.

  26. filthymcnasty1 says: Dec 7, 2013 11:02 AM

The Vikings have a losing record since drafting Adrian Peterson, and still have no World Championship.

But he has some nice stats.

What desire did he make publicly? You mean the one where he said he would love to be with one team his entire career or are you referring to the reaching spin out in by that article? Which one – quote or spin?

Dude, get your facts straight: Rodgers is out because THE PACKERS WON’T LET HIM PLAY.
