Packers tickets available for Sunday, cheap

hi-res-150404951_display_image Getty Images

The Packers have a season-ticket waiting list that lasts nearly as long as Nick Foles supposedly will be the Eagles’ starting quarterback.  But that doesn’t mean tickets are impossible to get.

For Sunday’s game between the Fighting Flynns and the Flailing Falcons, plenty of tickets are available on the secondary market, for cents on the dollar.

Via FOX 11, a ticket with a $97 face value in Section 123 can be had for a mere $30.

Supply continues to outpace demand, given the ongoing absence of starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers to a broken collarbone.

If enough people sell and not enough buy, it probably will be smart for any Packers scoring touchdowns on Sunday to pass on the Lambeau Leap.  There’s a chance no one will be there to catch them.

Wow I would’ve never taken Green Bay fans as bandwagoneers.

  2. greenandgold1972 says: Dec 7, 2013 3:06 PM

Or you could report on the facts, that those are the tickets returned by the Falcons. But hey, don’t let the facts get in the way of yapping about the Packers.

  3. thegreatgabbert says: Dec 7, 2013 3:06 PM

Stadium won’t look emplty because of all the people forzen in their seats from prvious games.

  4. thepftpoet says: Dec 7, 2013 3:10 PM

I would pay even extra to see the hapless, classless Packers get smacked by another losing team.

But no, all the brain-washed packer fans still believe they are a playoff contender and Aaron Rodgers is the only reason they’re losing.

Have you seen that terrible defense? The defense that made Christian Ponder look like Peyton Manning and Toby Gerhart like the next Adrian Peterson?

The offensive line is also horrendous. With more holes on it than Swiss cheese. Even you’re starting “pro-bowl” guard talked a bunch a trash to the lions and than gave up 3 sacks himself in a single game.

This would be the last team in the NFL any GM would build around, I would pick the Jaguars ahead of this team, and it is clear Aaron Rodgers has made the team look better than it is.

Ted Thompson should be fired after this season & every Packer fan needs to go back to their moms basement again and stop making it seem like this is a competitive team.

no surprise when you are a 200:1 shot to get a wildcard….

Rodgers wanting to play is insane…. the hardest thing he should be doing is the discount double check… somebody put a straight jacket on him so he doesn’t go out there and get hurt in the last 3 garbage games

  17. calcheesmo says: Dec 7, 2013 3:27 PM

This makes Packer fans sound disloyal to their team. Yes, Flynn is starting and it’s going to pretty much be a crapshoot tomorrow…but it would still be packed if it wasn’t so dang cold out. 68 degrees and comfy on the couch or watch the game in person with below 0 temperatures..hmm, this is not the ice bowl…pretty easy choice.

  18. America's Team is Also God's Team says: Dec 7, 2013 3:33 PM

And out the window goes the argument for haters of the Rams, Raiders & Bills who say their fans are disloyal. All of those teams havent had a winning record in a decade and get hate for having tix available. Now GB has half a bad season for the first time in 20 years and tix are available.

Does this mean Pack fans are bad fans? Not in the slightest. It just means that its a simple fact: if your teams not winning, meaningless games in December dont draw. Simple as that.

  19. johnnyjagfan says: Dec 7, 2013 3:34 PM

Falcons only won last week because Buffalo hates playing in Toronto. They’ve basically mailed it in. Nobody’s traveling to GB from ATL for the game, either. This is a prime-time game (or was supposed to be) right? Schedule makers aren’t gods. Real Packers fans will go to the game. If they sell for “pennies on the dollar” and some real Packers fans attend the game that usually can’t afford it, that’s great. Hope some kid gets to go to an NFL game whose parents otherwise wouldn’t afford it.

  20. obsessedvikingfan says: Dec 7, 2013 3:34 PM

I thought it was always a sell out? Maybe it is, but Packer fans are not any better than any other team. When they suck, people stay home.

Like I always said, the waiting list means nothing. Most of them have them just to say “I have Packer season tickets” and don’t use them for themselves.

Packer fans can never say again that they are always at the game.

Aluminum bleacher seats must be awesome in zero degree weather. LOL

    Fair weather at it’s finest.

  21. obsessedvikingfan says: Dec 7, 2013 3:37 PM

And those blaming the weather. I thought real football was supposed to be played outdoors. Unless it is cold for the Packer fans apparently.

    I’ll be there.

  23. vikingsfan4life says: Dec 7, 2013 3:37 PM

If the true test of “fair weather” fans is whether they stick with the team through good times and bad, then Packer fans are doing a great job of proving they are no better than any other teams fans. First sign of a losing streak and they abandon Lambeau for their deer shacks. In the end their true colors show.

    – says a Vikings season ticket holder of 18 years.

  24. idratherbedeadandcoldthengreenandgold says: Dec 7, 2013 3:37 PM

When the Packers suck their fans always resort to the past. Oh we have 13 Championships , of course most of those came when there were only like 10 teams in the league. They LOVE to live in the past which they might as well as their team SUCKS this year which is the ONLY year that counts now. Rodgers is the most OVERRATED QB EVER. The king of the 5-10 yard pass. Packer fans = the king of excuses.

Thing is, you can always get Packer tickets. Just depends on what you want to pay. Lots of fans, especially the wives & girlfriends in the relationship have no desire to go watch football in November & December when it’s very cold…

That being said, there are more then usual this year. As soon as Rodgers got hurt against the Bears….many fans started making Facebook posts about tickets being available for the rest of the season.

  35. stevent92 says: Dec 7, 2013 3:58 PM

Green Bay is no different than anywhere else – people want a winner. A losing team does nothing for them, or anyone else. They have been blessed with 2 HOF QBs the last 21 years and only 1-2 losing seasons. ANYONE can brag about great fan support with that track record. Heck, Detroit is even selling-out now that they’re winning…

Vikings fans telling Pack fans their fairweathered is a joke. Every NFL team has fairweathered fans if you’re going to measure it by not wanting to go sit in the freezing cold spending hundreds for a meaningless game.

Wins sell tickets, hopeless teams do not. Nothing more nothing less.

  38. packman331 says: Dec 7, 2013 4:02 PM

Hey haters. Stack up 50 years of sellouts in a stadium that is 70 percent of the towns population. Then you can talk about loyalty and bandwagon.

  39. vots50 says: Dec 7, 2013 4:04 PM

I love all the NFC north trolls speaking out.

Lambeau Field has been sold out on a season ticket basis since it opened in 1953!

People will sell their tickets still, even when they’re doing well. Yes, more will sell when they’re not doing well. But band wagoners Packers fans aren’t!

The trolls here must not be old enough to remember the 70s and 80s where Lamabeau still sold out.

  40. aldante66 says: Dec 7, 2013 4:05 PM

I can almost guarantee, the next time the hardcore pack fans dance in the street, it will be when they boot Ted Thompson out of town. Until then they better plan on a lot of losing seasons with the bums he drafted.
There is not one defensive back on the team that could play second string on any other team, they are that bad.
Other Gm’s understand that when you lose a talented skilled player you replace him with a skilled player if you can. Ted let Wells -all pro center, Jenkins – all pro defensive end, and two top notch safeties to career ending injuries and never replaced them.

I love the weather angle. Who wants to be outside watching football in the cold?

Anybody try to get Bears/ Cowboys tickets recently? Is it even possible to get a ticket for under $100?

Thats a night game about 1000 feet from lake Michigan (windy) with a forecast low temp in the single digits.

Bears fans will be there to watch their backup QB and backup defense.

  44. aldante66 says: Dec 7, 2013 4:07 PM

If the pack were in first place and playing for a top home field advantage people would show up without shirts on. Its not the weather, they don’t want to be their to hear the thud of a season gone by.

Where the tickets came from is irrelevant. The point is there are tickets for sale, cheap, and no one is buying them.

Where is the 1,000 year mailing list? Where are the fans clamoring for a once in a life time opportunity to attend a game at hallowed Lambeau Field?

Could it be that Packer fans are actually just like normal NFL fans and given their choice of watching a lousy team in terrible weather or sitting at home in front of their TVs, they choose the latter?

No shame in that. Just admit it.

But whats really sad is that occasionally, seemingly intelligent people, people who know something about football, actually try to engage the haters in a reasoned argument. There are tickets available. It is rare that this happens. These tickets are available because Falcons fans are deciding not to head to Green Bay for a game that means nothing. These people bought tickets figuring that the game might be a clash for top playoff seeding, not top draft pick. They are selling them at a huge loss. Face value of 80 bucks, they probably paid 200 bucks a piece for the tickets, now they are selling them for 30 bucks..lol

Anyway, make it sound like Green Bay fans aren’t going to the games. That stadium has sold out for decades. There will not be an empty seat there on Sunday. At least some people who might never have afforded the tickets to a game are getting a chance to buy some tickets for cheap.

  82. sfm073 says: Dec 7, 2013 6:16 PM

Now you understand why rams fans don’t show up after just 4 winning seasons in stl.

  83. obsessedvikingfan says: Dec 7, 2013 6:26 PM

The few tickets returned by the Falcons are being sold by Ticketmaster, and can’t be sold below face value.

It’s the “loyal” season ticketholders that are selling their tickets for a fraction of the face value.

It’s worth remembering that throughout those decades of mediocrity-at-best teams between Bart Starr and Brett Favre, they sold out every game.

That a city of 100,000 doesn’t quite fill an 80,000 seat stadium for one game probably isn’t quite the front-page news that everyone seems to think it is.

  85. aldante66 says: Dec 7, 2013 6:52 PM

I find it kind of ironic when they were saying the once the new stadium additions took place you would not be able hear yourself think. NOT, These fans are the quietest in football.

  86. chargerdillon says: Dec 7, 2013 6:56 PM

Not surprised so many idiots would ever call Green Bay fans fair weather. But then the same idiots will say this in a Chargers post as well.

Not to mention the idiots bagging on how bad this team is. Really? Didn’t they just win a superbowl not too long ago?

The majority of winning teams are 1 hit away from losing their quarterback and becoming an average team just like what happened to the Packers this year.

  87. vikingfansrobese says: Dec 7, 2013 6:56 PM

gotta love a Packer posting…actually brings the Viking”fans” out of their caves….have you ever seen more fans comment on another teams articles then the Viking fans??? 91. stellarperformance says: Dec 7, 2013 7:19 PM

The stadium will be full, as usual, and all tickets have already been purchased. The Packers got their money. Only simpletons can’t figure this out.

  92. mgulrud says: Dec 7, 2013 7:23 PM

lets wait and see how many empty seats there are.. then we can talk. I myself am searching ebay right now for about a dozen cheap tickets for me and my friends who generally cant afford the $700 tickets at lambeau.

  93. leatherface2012 says: Dec 7, 2013 7:25 PM

  94. tokyosandblastedhisdad says: Dec 7, 2013 7:29 PM

Or you could report on the facts, that those are the tickets returned by the Falcons. But hey, don’t let the facts get in the way of yapping about the Packers.

The tickets for sale are on a secondary market. They are not being directly sold by the packers.

  97. conormacleod says: Dec 7, 2013 7:45 PM

Packers Marketing: Congratulations sir. We have reached your name on the waiting list.

Packer fan: Um, I don’t actually want to buy any tickets. I just wanted to sit at the bar and brag that I was on the list. Can you just drop me to the end of the list? It’s cold out there, and my team sucks!

  98. obsessedvikingfan says: Dec 7, 2013 7:52 PM

30 years on the list and I finally got my season tickets.

  99. frank booth says: Dec 7, 2013 7:54 PM

It’s mostly Viking fans that are coming on this thread to bash the Packers. Notice that Bears fans or Lions fans aren’t.

Viking fans have a huge inferiority complex. Always have. Probably always will.

Remember when Gary Anderson missed that field goal against Atlanta in on Jan 10, 1999? Biggest kick of his career. 38 yards. Wide left.

    Too bad.

  101. pillowporkers says: Dec 7, 2013 8:02 PM

  102. kproffo says: Dec 7, 2013 8:21 PM

Wow look at all the trolls. Your tears feed our joy. Knowing you think about the Packers all day, every day, year round is the icing of a great big cake.

I guess trolling is all you have when you a cheer for a purple team that is on the decline. Must be bad to know 3-8-1 still isn’t the bottom.

  105. iloveagoodnap says: Dec 7, 2013 8:38 PM

Im getting a huge laugh at the haters and trolls.

Im completely indifferent towards the packers, but anyone who truly believes they are a fairweathered disloyal fanbase is an absolute fool.

Big haha to Vikes fans who say weather shouldn’t matter. Your team plays in a dome, so how do you even know? Isn’t your city the same one who almost drove the Twins out of town cause you could barely get 20k into the dome for games, only about 6 years arter you won the series? What a joke.

The biggest laugh of all is people sitting there talking about disloyalty and how people should go to games from behind their computer screens, the same ones they’ll no doubt be sitting behind tomorrow rather than being at the game of their so called “teams”. what a joke.

  106. Frazier28/7 says: Dec 7, 2013 8:38 PM

There are always packer tickets available, it just depends on the success of the team. If Rodgers were playing and they were looking to gain ground on the Lions most of those same tickets would be available for 3x face value. You could’ve even got tickets for Favre’s first game at Lambeau in purple, tickets were available for over $800-$1,000 a piece.

Two things though, that season ticket list is only so long because of all the ticket brokers wanting to make money off packer fans. Its easy, they pay $250 for ‘stock’ And two, they’ve only sold out every game at Lambeau for 30-40 years because they used to play 2-3 games a year in Michigan because the Packers could barely sell out Lambeau after the Lombardi years and pre-Favre years when they were terrible for 25+ seasons.

  107. qoojo says: Dec 7, 2013 8:44 PM

Why would anyone pay that much money to go sit in an environment colder than a freezer? I went to one game in Dec at Lambeau with the temps at a balmy 14F-24F, and I will never go to another cold weather game again. You try to warm up by going to the concession stand, but underneath the stadium it was all metal, and that just radiated cold. Never again.

  108. ninefingers9 says: Dec 7, 2013 8:57 PM

Guys, it’s -4 in Green Bay right now. Trust me, I’d love to go to Lambeau because it’s always fun no matter what, but when its like this, no way. Not even for free. That’s the real reason its THAT cheap.

Dude, back when the Bucs were still in the Central, my family still had season tickets. It was tradition that the last game of the season was “guys day out” because it was so cold. That day, in tradition Sherman style, it looked like an easy win early, but the conservative Pack let them chisel their way back in. In the fourth quarter it looked like the Bucs were going to take it in to overtime. I literally did not care at the point if they won or lost, I hadn’t been able to feel my toes since the middle of the first quarter (feet warmers and all). Honestly, it’s a really, really cold day in hell when I don’t care who wins at a Packer game. If it’d gone into OT, I’d probably be a few toes less this day. I hear ya man, never again.

  113. Dogsweat says: Dec 7, 2013 9:34 PM

Nobody like to see a loser or pay high prices to watch crud.

Every team’s fan base has an amount bandwagon in them.

How about we stop pointing the bandwagon fingers at each other and realize that no fan base is perfect.

  114. mediasloppy says: Dec 7, 2013 9:34 PM

  115. purpleforroyaltygreenandgoldforbugars says: Dec 7, 2013 10:03 PM

Ok bears fans, don’t even talk about cold. You guys have fake winter and temps they hover around 32. 80% of your fan base couldn’t name 5 people on your team plus you just lost to my vikings which is embarrassing in and of itself. Vikings ship has been going down for a while but it is fun bringing the bears and pack (and their so called most loyal fans in the nfl) with us!

  116. alloutblitz644 says: Dec 7, 2013 10:06 PM

It’s not real surprising. Ticket prices drop whenever the Packers or any team for that matter are losing games. You will see the stands packed as always on Sunday. And possibly a more vocal crowd. For some people this is one of their few chances to be able to afford to go to a regular season game at Lambeau.

  117. grandsonofcoach says: Dec 7, 2013 10:08 PM

For everyone yapping about fair weather fans look at your own teams first. Even before Favre and Rodgers there was a waiting list. That means 100% of the seats are sold every year. Now look at your history, when was the last time some local company had to step in to buy unsold seats to create a false sellout. One cold weather game without Rodgers and a few seats go for below face value?! Oh the tragedy. Get over yourselves.

    ————————————

Ding, ding, ding!! We have a winner!!!

Unlike the Vikings’ playoff game that took divine intervention to sell out, this game is already sold out. It’s just about people trying to RE-SELL their tickets.

  119. beerbratscheese says: Dec 7, 2013 10:14 PM

The Packers (being the true “America’s Team”) have season ticket holders in all 50 states. All tickets are spoken for. So ticket holders from Hawaii, Arizona, California, etc can’t sell tickets from an individual game, doesn’t mean we are doomed to “Viking” level!

  120. harrycanyon says: Dec 7, 2013 10:30 PM

You guys want to see some fairweather fans? Look no further than Vikings home games at the Gophers stadium the next couple years.

first of all, our stadium has been sold out since the 1960s. and you call us bandwagoners? and guess what, the stadium is still sold out. we had an embarrassing loss on thanksgiving, rodgers is hurt and mccarthy looks like he’s calling it a season. we arent allowed to lower ticket prices for one freaking game now? its not like the stadium is freaking empty, its cold and spirits are low. why are we being crucified for having emotions? im a life long packer fan and right now i feel like crap about everything, injuries every single game and mediocre teams make us look silly. everyone calm the hell down

Wrong, it’s really just boredom. Nothing else to do this time of year in Wisco. The Packers will never have a problem selling out the stadium regardless. “Barely sell out”. Sold out being the point here. What other team?
