Dolphins up 10-7 at halftime on Steelers

Ryan Tannehill AP

It’s probably appropriate that the most dramatic play of the first half of the Dolphins-Steelers game was the last one of the half.

After the Dolphins wasted timeouts and a chance to move the ball closer, the Steelers had some fun returning a missed 52-yard field goal attempt from one side of the field to another, before being stopped well short of the goal line.

There was action, almost some excitement, but very little meaning.

The Dolphins are up 10-7 at halftime, with Ryan Tannehill’s pass to Charles Clay giving them the lead back.

The Steelers were moving the ball well early, but that momentum has stalled, and both teams are flailing about (236 combined yards at halftime) along the fringes of the AFC playoff race.
