Falcons fight back, take lead in Green Bay

The Packers’ early lead against Atlanta has disappeared.

The Falcons, on the strength of two TD passes from quarterback Matt Ryan, have taken a 14-10 second-quarter advantage in Green Bay.

First, Ryan connected with Drew Davis on a 36-yard score to tie the game at seven. Then, after Falcons safety William Moore forced a Matt Flynn fumble recovered by defensive lineman Malliciah Goodman deep in Green Bay territory, Ryan hit tight end Tony Gonzalez for a one-yard TD pass to give Atlanta a 14-7 lead.

On the second touchdown, Ryan made a wonderful play-fake and found Gonzalez open in the endzone. For Gonzalez, it was the 109th regular-season TD catch in a Hall of Fame career.

The Packers would cut into Atlanta’s lead with a 40-yard Mason Crosby field goal with less than four minutes left in the first half.

And once again, the kiddies open their mouths prematurely and get all their little hopes and dreams smashed.

    Packers? Won.
    Lions? Lost
    Vikings? Lost

One would think that these kids would learn their lesson but they just don’t.
