Cowboys waiting on MRI results for Sean Lee, Bruce Carter

Monday night was another rough one for the Cowboys defense.

They didn’t stop the Bears once all night en route to a 45-28 loss, which is bad enough for a team that needs every possible win to assure they finish in front of the Eagles in the NFC East this season. The night was even worse, though, because linebackers Sean Lee and Bruce Carter both need MRIs on Tuesday to determine the extent of their injuries.

Lee had to leave the game, his return to the lineup after missing two games with a hamstring injury, after hurting his neck in the third quarter. Carter left the game a short time later with a hamstring injury, leaving the Cowboys with a linebacking corps of Kyle Wilber, Ernie Sims and Cameron Sheffield.

Brandon George of the Dallas Morning News reports that Lee said he plans to play in Week 15 and Carter also said that he thinks he’ll be OK, but the results of the MRIs will provide more clarity about their status for Week 15. The defense hasn’t been particularly good when both men are healthy, but it’s certainly preferable to have all hands on deck at this point in the proceedings.

Meanwhile, Cowboys fans are waiting on the owner to fire the GM, head coach, and vice president.

If Jerry Jones (the GM) would have consulted with Jerry Jones (the team doctor) about giving huge contracts to injury prone guys like Austin and Lee the Cowboys wouldn’t be in such cap hell. Unfortunately Jerry Jones (the head coach/defensive and offensive coordinator) really felt like they needed these guys to be great. Jerry Jones (the owner) can’t be happy with the Jerrys.

Who is Cameron Sheffield? They have Cameron Lawrence on the roster and he played last night.

Goodell hates the Cowboys because he’s from Western NY, and he’s still bitter about Dallas beating his Buffalo Bills in back to back superbowls.

He has a vendetta out for Lee- he pays players to take cheap shots, and pays doctors and trainers to not to clear Lee so the Cowboys can be without the man who is undoubtedly one of the greatest linebackers to walk the Earth.

Cowboys fan here through and through but lets take off the Silver and Blue glasses and see it like it is. Injuries and no name Free Agents have killed this team but this is the NFL and no Excuses are considered. With Our current defense it will be a miracle to head into week 17 with a Chance of the Division!

I was just about to say the same thing. I’m a cowboys fan but that is just ridiculous. the way I see it the cowboys got away from the run which was working. I’m not saying if they stayed with it they would win this game but the bears offense wouldn’t have had eight possessions to kill the boys like they did but hey what do I know the coaching staff has all the answers.

Lee had to leave the game, his return to the lineup

I’m still trying to figure out what Lee was doing in the game after that come back block. He was clearly dazed, stunned, concussed or ???

He looked like a zombie being helped off the field. What were the Cowboy doctors thinking clearing him to go back on the field. What was the NFL doing with their safety first crap. It didn’t look like he could defend himself later.
