Randy Starks discusses his on-field prostate exam

What happens at the bottom of the pile usually stays at the bottom of the pile, typically because what happens at the bottom of the pile can’t be seen by the many cameras blanketing an NFL field.

But when Steelers center Cody Wallace opted to insert his hand in a certain sensitive area of Dolphins defensive tackle Randy Starks and, you know, move it around, the cameras had a clear shot of the move.

At it turns out, everyone except Starks knew what had happened.

“If I’d known exactly who it was at the time, I probably would have gotten thrown out,” Starks said Tuesday, via Hal Habib of the Palm Beach Post.  “So I guess it’s a good thing I didn’t.”

For Starks, the experience had no precedent.

“I heard of stuff like that happening,” Starks said.  “It’s the first time that happened to me.”

The violation has become a gift that keeps on giving.  Starks says his teammates are giving him a hard time about the situation.

“Oh, they’re getting on me,” he said. “‘Check for prostate.’  I’m hearing it today.”

When it comes to prostates, it’s always better to simply hear about it.

That looked very deliberate, and like Wallace was trying to go after Stark’s balls. That should get a huge fine.

Wallace: “I wonder if they’ll see me sniff my fingers…?”

Living in New England, I see the referees administer this exam weekly on whoever the Patriots are playing.

Next they’ll have to be an investigation in Miami about the joking Starks is getting from teammates about his on the field prostate exam. Oh wait Starks isn’t a big winnie like Martin, he just has one unlike
    Martin.

Definatly bad ..but the video of the 49er reciever being tackled (pulled down) by his pecker is unreal.

  15. FinFan68 says: Dec 11, 2013 9:32 AM

With video evidence of stuff like that there should be an automatic suspension. It was intentional and in no way can be construed as a legitimate tactic when trying to recover a fumble. 2 games, laugh as the appeal fails.

Happens a lot in wrestling. Nudge a guys chode with your thumb nuckle, shock and surprise him, and use the stunned moment to roll him over and pin him…

Way to make an impression in your first game after getting signed off the street. They should dump this idiot. It’s not as if he’s helping their playoff chances.

Please stop pointing these things out.

  19. irkjames says: Dec 11, 2013 9:58 AM

No reason to even mention it, Randy.

The NFL only cares about the Miami Dolphins when we’re messing up. Never when someone does something negative to them.

A dirty play like this won’t be fined by the league but beautiful form tackles most certainly will. Way to go NFL!

Wow, that was as clear as day, there’s no “It was an accident” excuse here.

  24. laxcoach37 says: Dec 11, 2013 11:20 AM

The Steelers were so desperate to have “a Wallace” on their roster they hired a crappy Center off the street with sexual deviant tendancies. The irony here is the Steelers cheat and lose, while at least the Patriots cheat and win, well, atleast 9 years ago that worked. To my Dolphin brothers, get use to to bad PR, like @irkjames said above. If this happened to a Patriot player or Peyton Manning it would be on the cover of every Newspaper. We are only getting better and the rest of the league and mass media doesn’t like it one bit!

  25. Joemontanaflacco says: Dec 11, 2013 1:58 PM

Oh….Steelers! How low you have sunk!

  26. mackie66 says: Dec 11, 2013 4:29 PM

  27. charger383 says: Dec 11, 2013 9:23 PM

I don’t like the NFL’s fine system, BUT in this case a very big one is in order

  28. basedrum777 says: Dec 12, 2013 9:42 AM

Its the Steelers, they don’t get suspended when they should…
