Panthers downgrade Charles Johnson to questionable with the flu

Panthers defensive end Charles Johnson has overcome a knee injury suffered when he took a leg whip from Pats offensive lineman Marcus Cannon last month.  Johnson currently is being whipped (go ahead and groan) by the flu.

According to Joseph Person of the Charlotte Observer, the Panthers have added Johnson to the injury report as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Jets.  He has flu-like symptoms.

Per Person, Johnson is expected to play, unless his condition worsens.

Johnson missed wins over the Dolphins and Buccaneers before returning last week against the Saints.  He registered 0.5 sacks in the loss, giving him 9.0 sacks for the year.

A Steeler has never missed a game because of an illness. Look it up.

Good! The Jets need all the help they can get and my Cards need the Jets to pull off an upset win!!! Still don’t think they could score on Carolina with 8 men on defense tho…

A Panther has never been accused of sexual assault in a restroom. Nor has a Panthers head coach ever pulled a Busch league move like stepping on the field to try and stop a return touchdown so their pathetic excuse for a team can have some remote chance of seeing the playoffs. Look it up.
