Cowboys’ offense dominant early vs. Packers

AP

In their first three possessions against the Cowboys’ offense, the Packers surrendered 192 yards, and they did not force a punt.

As you might guess, the Packers are losing.

Tony Romo’s 25-yard TD pass to tight end Jason Witten gave the host Cowboys a 13-3 lead after one quarter against the Packers at AT&T Stadium.

Romo has completed 7-of-10 passes for 115 yards, while tailback DeMarco Murray has racked up 77 yards on just seven carries.

With their offense compromised somewhat without star quarterback Aaron Rodgers, the Packers need to be sound as they can be in all phases to be competitive. Their special teams have done their part, with Mason Crosby connecting on a 57-yard first-quarter field goal. However, the Packers’ defense has a real rough go of it to begin Sunday’s game.

  1. With their offense compromised somewhat without Rodgers? Somewhat? How about a hell of a lot. They have to grind it out on a bad Cowboys defense for one measly FG.

  2. Gee, what’s going on with Green Bay? I thought they were so good that even without Rodgers, all they had to do was throw their jocks on the field and call it a win.

  3. All packers fans will have left to talk about after this game is their Super Bowl win against the Vikings this season.

  4. Why would they be fired? Capers put an extra guy in the box, players still can stop the run. Romo has all day to throw against man coverage. Mccarthy has tried screens, hurry up offense, short throws, flynn cant conplete them or they drop the pass. Coaches can only do so much.

Bro you saying the Vikings game was the Packers’ Super Bowl got old after you said it the first time. If you are going to talk trash, at least come up with something new instead of repeating yourself every week.

  6. The Packers would be better served just putting some traffic cones out on the field instead of the crop of losers they currently have on defense. At least the traffic cones have a chance to accidentally trip someone.

  7. It’s not over yet. The Packers just had an impressive touchdown drive. Almost a half to go, folks.

I’m sure a bunch of idiots will thumbs-down this since it counters future convenient arguments against the Packers.

  8. The packers are just awful. How could they possibly have won any games without Rodgers? I know it was only Atlanta, but still.

No. I’m just tired of your obnoxious comments.

  12. It has been 4 decades since the vikings did anything more than win a division.

They have never been world champions.

You vikling fools ought to keep silent until until your team actually accomplishes something.
