Jamaal Charles running wild in Oakland

Jamaal Charles is doing things that no one has ever done before today in Oakland.

Charles, the Chiefs’ running back, has seven catches for 187 yards and four touchdowns today against the Raiders, and also added a rushing touchdown. That makes him the first player in NFL history with four receiving touchdowns and a rushing touchdown in the same game.

The Raiders’ secondary has been a mess, and cornerback Charles Woodson exited with a rib injury.

Amazingly, despite Charles’ record day, the Chiefs haven’t put this one away: The Raiders’ offense is also going wild, and late in the third quarter, the Raiders trail only 42-31.

This game seems destined for more craziness in the fourth quarter. And Charles’ game seems destined to be the subject of a great NFL Films highlight reel for many years to come.

    Oakland, Oakland, Oakland…

    What a terrible team.

It’s not the touchdowns, it’s that he wasn’t even TOUCHED on any of them!

  3. doctorrustbelt says: Dec 15, 2013 6:36 PM

Jamaal Charles and LeSean McCoy are the best running backs in the NFL.

  4. Mr. Wright 212 says: Dec 15, 2013 6:37 PM

And considering how far out each one of them were, that’s very impressive. Never seen it before.

He’s a true playmaker (and a boon to our fantasy team).

Just watched McGloin throw one of the worst int’s I’ve ever seen, straight to a Chief linebacker. The sort of throw you’d expect an 8 year old to make.

I hope you guys have been scouting QB’s for the last couple months, because it’s glaringly obvious where your team is deficient (and HAS been deficient for over a decade).

Time to fire McKenzie turned an 8-8 team into mush in a few months. Failed free agent signings and 2 crappy drafts this team has not accumulated any talent since McKenzie took over.

You’d think at some point one of the Oakland defenders or coaches would say “watch the screen”…maybe they’ve never seen an Andy Reid coached team before?

  13. joetoronto says: Dec 15, 2013 6:56 PM

Both these teams are going to end up in the same place, nowhere.

The Raiders have turned the ball over 5 times and still have over 500 yards of offense, that Chiefs defense is brutal.

  14. 7pints says: Dec 15, 2013 6:58 PM

Remember when Jokeland fans were talking about McGloin being the real deal??? Lol. That dude is absolute garbage!

God bless you Jamal Charles, you’re helping me slaughter the #1 seed in the first round of my fantasy football playoffs. With AP out this week for my team I really needed this…that and I picked up Rashad Jennings at 11:30 a.m. this morning. Sweeet!

Jamall Charles is The Man. Best Back in the Entire League. Should Be League MVP over Peyton Manning. Jamall deserves it. Go Chiefs!

  17. shayeezy says: Dec 15, 2013 7:04 PM

actually joetoronto, raiders have 430 yards of offense. they did most of their damage when flowers was out with a groin injury. the chiefs do need to improve on d and need justin houston back, but the sky isn’t falling. they’re still winning by 25.

    Look at this
Matt playing behind a healthy line unlike Pryor was.
    Yet he thrown 4 picks?

Keep drinking the Gloinn kool aid Denis Allen.
    You are good as gone.
Pryor will remain a Raider not you Allen.

  19. natelan says: Dec 15, 2013 7:16 PM

Hey, Pryor can throw picks too!! Lmao…

  20. repmochief50 says: Dec 15, 2013 7:19 PM

You’d know about nowhere Joe. But we just scored the most pts in the NFL this season, won by 20+ & played that bad defensively. I wouldn’t count us out just yet.

Jamal congrats on being the best back of the human race. All Day AP reigns supreme.

  23. jbaxt says: Dec 15, 2013 7:29 PM

Um, for the raidets to keep their 4th and 5th QB’s is beyond me.

Clearly Palmer, Flynn, and Campbell are light years better than Mygroin and Pryor.

Stay super classy Faiders, 11 years and counting.

    Chiefs to the Super Bowl!

  25. slick50ks says: Dec 15, 2013 7:34 PM

One of the worst rosters I’ve ever seen. Ever.

The Raiders clearly dont like to show up on Sundays.

Coincidentally, when that happens, neither does raiderapologist or JoeToronto

    Pound sand boys, pound sand.

  32. farewhetherphan says: Dec 15, 2013 8:22 PM

Did I see a little throat slash gesture from JC on that long TD on the wheel route? That could cost.

You know even if the Raiders had made the right draft picks in the past this franchise is so awful they’d of all ended up busts anyways

    2004: “Next Year!!!”
    2005: “Next Year!”
    2006: “Next Year”
    2007: “Next Year?”
    2008: “Please God, Next Year.”
2009: “Well, We Can’t Get Any Worst.”
    2010: “Yes We Can.”
    2011: “Really?”
