Kaepernick finds a new receiving target for early lead

It took him until Week 15, but 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick finally threw a touchdown pass to someone other than Anquan Boldin and Vernon Davis.

Kaepernick just found Michael Crabtree for the score and a 7-0 lead over the Buccaneers, Crabtree’s first touchdown of the year after coming back from an Achilles injury.

Granted, the 49ers did most of the work on the ground, gaining 53 of their 67 yards on the ground. Kaepernick had 26 of those himself.

But adding some diversity to their attack can only help as they plan for games bigger than this one.

Nice! Just in time for the playoffs.

Lets’ be honest, Kaepernick to Davis/Boldin was getting a little predictable.

Kaepernick is the true successor to Joe Montana and Steve Young.

Kap to Davis for TD. Predictable yes. Stoppable no.
