Paul Soliai hurts ankle, Dolphins trail 3-0

The Dolphins offense has gotten off to a slow start against the Patriots and now their defense is down a man.

Defensive tackle Paul Soliai is questionable to return after injuring his ankle early in the game. Soliai and the Miami defense gave up a long opening drive to the Patriots, but they held in the red zone and forced New England to settle for a field goal after chewing up more than seven minutes.

The Patriots have thrown often to Julian Edelman and Shane Vereen in the early part of the game, but they seemed to miss tight end Rob Gronkowski once they got close to the Miami end zone.

The Dolphins did a better job on the next two New England drives and forced a punt each time. The Dolphins have punted all three times they have the ball, though, and haven’t found much success on the ground or in the air against the Patriots defense.

    The fins absolutely suck.

The Chiefs will officially be in the playoffs before they go on to destroy the fade later today.
